I must be a weird breed
I think doing up posts on my website are so much fun. Nothing is more relaxing and more gratifying than helping people who are very different from the norm.
I find when I start talking about something I'm passionate, I really don't look at it as a job at all. I call it my "play time." Everytime I post, I get so excited because for me, it comes naturally. The answers I come up with really are from a place where I want to help people. Nothing to me is more gratifying then helping someone with life's challenges.
That being said, the part I hate about doing up a website are product reviews. I hate product reviews so much. I know I should probably be excited cause product reviews will be the way I get money, but I really dread product reviews. I can't sell something very well, I never really did. I followed the training when writing them, but they're a pain in the ass lol. But I know that this will be one of very few ways I'll receive money.
I actually enjoy doing content more than doing a product review. I wish really I could get money from my content than I do through product reviews, and I know there are ways of doing that, but I'm trying to stay away from doing too much external linking.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you enjoy content more than a product review or vice versa?
With much love,
-Jake

Me personally a few of my passions are writing and photography so if I can write I am cool with it. If it is a product review or just another blog post, I am happy to write it since I love to write.
I have tons of fun writing content too! But it wasn't like tghat in the beginning! NOT AT ALL!

I am in your camp. I get the most satisfaction helping someone than writing a product review. Most of my traffic comes from my fun posts not product reviews. Oh well.
Hi Jake!
I definitely relate to not enjoying Product Reviews! I do not want to put myself in the position of deciding what is "Good" and what is "Not So Good"! I would never use the word Scam!
I take the approach of helping people and have built up teams of followers and a Buying Email List of over 750 Members in a little over 2 years just by offering to help!
That is where my strengths lie! I have always been a Helper and always will be!
I enjoy coaching people into their best selves!
Do you Jake and you will succeed!

HI Jake. I have to say that I'm with you on this one. I much prefer writing about the things I love to talk about instead of product reviews too. However, until I've made it big as the next best spiritual guru, I will have to write a few reviews to keep the wolf from the door.
The great thing is that you are enjoying your writing.
Long may that last.
All the best
Gail
Hi Jake,
I really liked your post, I can understand not liking the review part of the business, I'm not very good at them either. But what must be done, must be done. You're right, that is the way we make our money and that part I can do without also. But I do like the money. So I guess it's a give and take relationship.
Blessings,
Rae Anne
I will be honest about it writing reviews scared me in the beginning then when I started writing them it was easy. I just put the information in and kinda wrote it like a blog and that is how I did mine. Writing content once I get started I am on a roll then that is easy too.
I just have a hard time with coming up with ideas that are where I have the problems at. But I am working on that though. Best wishes on your journey with WA.
