Priority in 2016
I've been told to "stop trying to do everything in one day. You can't get everything on your to do list done so prioritize". So that's my plan for 2016, specifically with Wealthy Affiliate (WA).
I think I have the reputation on WA as being a helper and encouraging others to help. If you gain new information share it so others will benefit. Take time to answer questions in chat, answer questions people ask of you, do trainings and help members out with comments. However, some of this will change in 2016 as I continue to prioritize.
As much as I like being in the top 50 I might have to settle for top 100. I enjoy helping and commenting but I've noticed by doing this that my website suffers. I have less time to write and post. This means the longer it will take to build my business.
Another member pointed out that ranking has nothing to do with how well your business is doing. That's correct! They are two separate entities. So either I choose to be high ranking in WA while my business suffers or I choose my business as my priority and accept that my ranking will go down in WA. I'm choosing the latter.
This doesn't mean I won't be a helper. I will still help but not as much as I normally would. This also doesn't mean that I want you to stop asking me questions. It means that my response time will increase from 24 hours to 48 or 72 hours.
I'll still be around. I'm not going anywhere. I'm simply choosing to better order my priorities in hope that I will find a good and positive balance as well as success.

Hm...I always wondered if it was bad that my participation was low within WA and I spend more time on my website. I guess I'm on the right track??
Yes you're on the right track. The whole purpose is to build our website out so that it is an income producer. We can't do that if we spend most of our time building our rank.

Today is the first time I visited your profile and website and training. yes even I feel . first you should make yourself strong enough to help others .You have decided to become stronger monetary wise too so we can expect more help.
That's my thinking. Becoming monetary strong will allow me to quit my day job and have more time to help others. Helping and taking care of people is my true passion.
