My Story
My name is Randi and I live in South Florida area
I was born in Chicago and after high school and college I moved to California. I lived in San Diego and then my job sent me a Eureka California and that's when I met my husband. We left Eureka California and then moved to San Diego. We were in San Diego for a few years and then we moved to South Florida area where our parents and other family members lived. Now I'm in Pompano Beach Florida living with my 91 year young mom and my 65 year old sister.
We came to Florida for a visit and now 41 years later we are still in Florida and we had a daughter who now is 36 and when she was 35 she had a baby girl who I am in love with. My beautiful granddaughter Shelby was born in February 2020. I can't get enough of my granddaughter I love her to the moon and back 🌙 I can't wait for the Covid to get under control so I can be with my daughter and granddaughter Shelby. I'm retired I worked for a newspaper in South Florida and I was a artist doing advertising design on a Mac computer 👩🏾💻. I worked there for over 11 years and now I'm retired and living in South Florida area with my mom and sister. My daughter and granddaughter Shelby live 10 minutes away from me but because of the virus 🦠 I can't go and see her. I can't wait to get the virus under control so I can visit my daughter and granddaughter and my friends and other family members in the area!! We need to control this virus 🦠 too many people have died in the USA 🇺🇸 compared to other countries around the world 🌎 I am hoping in the future we will have a vaccine 💉 and get the virus under control so that we can go back to our normal lives. I miss my family and friends and I pray that they will get the virus under control soon so I can visit with my family and friends. Being from Chicago I don't miss the cold weather and I enjoy living in Florida! But I have friends in Eureka California where I met my husband and after a few years we moved to San Diego. We lived there and then we moved to South Florida and 41 years were still here in Florida. I miss my friends in California and I hope one day I will be able to get back to Eureka California where I fell in love with the mountains and redwoods. But that has changed and now it's been 41 years since we moved to South Florida my sister who is 64 is trying hard to get back to her husband in Saint Maarten where she lives and runs in timeshare with her husband. But because of the Covid she can't travel to the islands to be with her husband. My sisters daughter lives in Naples on the West coast of Florida. My daughter and granddaughter Shelby live 10 minutes away from me but we can't visit her because my 91 year young mother won't let her visit because she is afraid of catching the Covid. So I have wait it out till after the virus 🦠 is under control. I pray that one day soon the virus will be under control so we all can travel and be safe so I can visit with my family and friends. The virus is so bad here in the states and I have no idea when they will have a vaccine 💉 to protect us from the virus. I started sewing again and doing puzzles 🧩 with my mom and sister. I can't wait to get back to the things I love doing along with being able to be with my family and friends. I'm sure everyone feels like I do. I pray that we can get the virus under control. I don't like being stuck in the house 🏡 because of the Covid but I'm going to wait and see what happens. Until then, I can't travel to be with my friends and family. Thanksgiving was so different from the past years when we all could be together!
My daughter did a whole thanksgiving dinner and brought us all of her leftovers because she doesn't like eating leftovers. I taught her well and she cooked a wonderful meal. Now my mom sister and I have plenty of leftovers to enjoy over the next few days.
This is my story and I hope you enjoy reading it.

Thanks for sharing, we are going to start vaccanation here next month with everyone being getting vaccanated by Easter. However, I got a blog deleted recently about covid and was told that your blogs here need to relate to WA business in some way and that I couldn't use this area like Facebook. So be careful with your content.
Very nice, Randi!
