Hi, was wondering if I can chose healthy living as a niche for my website. would this be fine or is it too broad? Thanks
Health/Fitness is one of the 3 top niches. Very competitive, which I welcome the competition.
Google is really cracking down on people who are pretending to be authorities within this niche and I for one am glad. There are far too many people pretending to be experts within this/my field.
If you are not certified or have any credible degrees/certifications Google will find you out.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist and I get so sick and tired of people passing out fitness advice without any professional knowledge to back it up.
Good luck and much success to you.
Mark
It's too broad. You need to go deeper into a broad niche and narrow it down, and stop where if you go further you will not have enough keywords and topics to write about. It should also have enough products related to it that can be promoted on your website.
Here are some health related sub-niches that may help you narrow down your niche:
Anti Aging
Exercise
Fitness Equipment
Healing
Heart disease
Holistic therapy
Mental Health
Nursing
Men's issues
Women's health
Nutrition
Weight loss
Skin care
Spa and wellness
Yoga
Hope it helps.
Thank you very much. I will go with Nutrition or Mental Health..or Nutrition for individuals who suffer from mental health issues. i can write about that a lot as i have an anxiety disorder myself and have a lot of knowledge about this topic. just need to know if there will be enough demand for public.
Hi - health is one of the top three most competitive niches, so you need to narrow it down to be seen as an authority on your subject. Which aspect are you most interested in, and would enjoy writing about?
Hi. It does sound a bit broad and it is also very competitive. However, that doesn't mean you can't make a good living from it. Something such as "Healthy living for over 40's" or "Health for the aged' 'a healthy life for kids', 'Health for young women' are all closer to the niche size you should be looking for. You need to find a specific audience you want to cater towards. If you want to cater for more then you might eventually be better off starting a second niche.

Do you mean eating healthy, do you mean running, do you mean mountain climbing to stay healthy? See what I mean?
