Taking Baby Steps

Introduction

Good Afternoon to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

As I have done, or appear to have done, rather a lot this week, thought that although it is Friday Afternoon, would get the blog done, and I just may give myself the weekend off.

That is also a way of saying that I need a break from the computer.

Can I thank all of you who gave me the benefit of your experiences with some very good, sensible and sound advice, I have taken note of what you said and slowly begun to heed it.

The Past Few Days

Last week I did say that I was trying to continue to put all my products into dedicated files, this would then, hopefully, enable me to really concentrate on sorting, not only the business out, but enable me to really got going.

At last, I have just finished this task, with files going into master files, that are dedicated to either websites, products or specialised items.

Thanks to a comment that I received from one of you, I am now looking at which websites I should concentrate on. The suggestion was to pick three, this I will do, before narrowing it down to one.

Originally when I began to sort things out, I used some filing cards, to let me know what I had put where. Decided that this would be better on the computer under strict headings, find that this is enabling me to look at sites and subjects, then decide what I have that will enable me to run an opt-in, lead magnet, product, up sell and so on for that particular site.

When I have all the information that I need I can then get on with sorting things out, deciding what to concentrate on first.

Have already begun to do a couple of items to use as lead magnets, to avoid me getting bored, during my sort out found a number of planners and journals which I can amend to fit several sites. Again these can be used as lead magnets.

Appreciate that it does look as if I am trying to do too much once more, but in the real world nothing could be further from the truth, as I feel that I am getting properly organised at long last, must confess that I feel much better in myself for doing so as well.

The other way which I am looking at things is, as I gather bits together, when I decide where to concentrate on first it should make life a lot easier.

Have also found some half started side hustles, these I will be able to work into the grand scheme of things as I move forward.

Came across some opt-in templates, these could prove to be quite useful in the long run.

Also found a number of E Books, these are now in a new file, called the resource library, should have done that years ago.

As usual did some training and research, my mentor sent me a useful package of stuff, he really is helping me. He kindly sent me his latest book, through the post for free.

Whilst it is a little bit bitty at the moment as I move things about, should mention that I have moved well over a hundred complete files, all of which needed looking at and the contents checking. As you can imagine some of these files contained a very large number of items, in some cases I still have not examined them properly yet.

The Next Few Days.

Think that it will be obvious that I will continue to see just what material I have before making a decision on which website to use first.

Must confess that I am quite enjoying life on the internet once again, promise to be careful that I do not get carried away with what I am trying to achieve.

This will not stop me from doing other little bits such as books, planners or reports.

Might also try to look at what I have inside the files which have a huge number of articles in them, if they are any good then eventually they could be used for content, assuming that they are not out-of-date, could always re-purpose them.

Do think that it could still be awhile before I do finally decide which way to go next, just cannot believe how much material I have amassed over the years.

Conclusion

Finally going through the files and allocating them has certainly made me feel a lot happier, must confess that it was staring to drag a little, not really get me down, just annoying I think.

Once again light at the end of the tunnel, one of these days I will get there.
