Introduction

Good Morning to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

First of all many thanks to all of you who have been giving me advice over my domains and website it is very much appreciated.

As you will gather from the title things have happened that have caused me to sit back and really think about things.

Even do I stay at WA, as you will read I had good reasons to even think that initially, but have calmed down and I am taking a more realistic approach to things, it will be even more work to get to where I now need to be.

The Last Few Days

You may recall that last week I mentioned that I had a closure notice on one of my domains, thought that it was because I did not have a website, wrong I do, however it would not open. Mailed Kyle and asked for help, the response was more advice on the fact that the domain would be cut off.

Spent a lot of time and effort getting things ready to be told this, decided to move the site, I keep copies of content on my site. To make things easier went to the domain finder, guess what? the domain is already up for sale, this did not please me at all.

Checked on my list of registered domains with WA to find that it has also gone off there, also two sites that I have also had notice on. These I am not worried about as I was going to let them go.

But the site that I was going to work on to disappear without trace, with days still left on my notice, did make me very cross, (that is putting things mildly). Initially my first thought was WA renewal is due in April, should I bother, just transfer my websites elsewhere.

That of course was a spur of the moment thing, having thought about it that will not happen.

I do not want leave WA I have a lot of friends here, whom I enjoy both daily and weekly chat with, also have put a lot into this product, in fact, one of my projects for the new year, is to improve WA advertising. Do have a good advert on one of my other sites already.

I totally believe in this site, so to throw it all away because of a minor hiccup is obviously stupid, possibly even childish. (No comments please - lol).

So I have made a start on opening websites on the domains that, as yet, do not have one.

Regarding the site that has been removed, will re-open it elsewhere, it is part of my future plans, so I need it. Have found a programme that will allow me to build my own website, so will go that way.

The Next Few Days

Will concentrate on opening the websites that are needed for the domains, also update those that I have not touched for a while, these should then leave them all open, and less likely to be closed.

The main piece of work will be to move the 'closed' website, one reason that this is being written this morning, as I have a lot of thinking to do, not to mention work,

Conclusion

Apologies for the rant this week, but when I am told that I have so many days to sort things out, then I expect to have that time, not have things removed immediately as it where.

However it has opened my eyes to the fact that I need to keep my eye on the ball a lot more than I have done.

As you all keep telling me I try to do too much, with the result that very little does get done.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy,

Please do stay safe.

God Bless

Stuart

Hello VH

Sorry to hear about your domain issue. Maybe and error was made? Either way, 2 things: 1- I'm glad you decided not to leave and 2- I hope it all gets sorted out to your liking.

I haven't checked mine in a while and I need to do that. It just seems like when I make my list of things to do each day, WA is always on there but the list is so long that somehow it doesn't get the attention it deserves. I need to sit down and figure out my schedule for the week. I get a LOT done but not always what NEEDS to be done.

You've given me much to think about.

I hope this week is more productive for you and you find more joy in what you're doing. We can't appreciate the GOOD if we haven't struggled through the bad right??? We'd have nothing to make a comparison from.
Well, at least that's my "deep thought" for the week. 🤗

Take care and remember: just breathe IN with the good, OUT with the bad.

Your VW

Hi VW,

Call me physic if you like, but thought before I go to bed will see if my VW has had time to pen a reply.

Good or what?

Do so agree that we seem to do a lot. but not always in the right order. Things are, I think slowly falling into place. might even know which website is going to get my undivided attention first, so that is some progress, thus far this week.

Loved you deep thought for the week.

Time for this elderly gentleman to retire.

So Night, Night, God Bless.

As always do take great care.

Your VH

Sweet dreams, VH!!!!!

I know what you mean, Stuart! I had three suc notices and have been getting them repeatedly, however, I determined that these were domains I had already let go a while back! I hope you get it sorted out, my friend!

Jeff

Many thanks for this, makes me happier.

You're very welcome, Stuart!

Jeff

Hi Edwin, I have two websites, one active and one not, both of which are paid domains. I shall certainly be keeping my eye on the renewal dates of each. Have a great day and week ahead, take care.

Hi Brian, thanks for this my sites were paid up, but like you will watch what happens in the future.

Hi Edwin
Obviously, I don't know what's happened here.
This experience usually only occurs when we forget to pay a renewal fee.
Anyway, in order to save you time, you could ask Site Support to use their backup to create a siterubix subdomain... then later when you've acquired a new domain, ask them to transfer the siterubix site to your new domain....
:-)
Richard

Thanks Richard, the site was paid up, so what is wrong, think that it is a conflict somewhere, good ideas though.

Stuart

Assuming that your site is registered through WA, In your shoes I'd send details directly to:
kyle@wa.com

The thing is that if your description of events is accurate, it's not acceptable since such an event can ruin someone's business.
:-)
Richard

It is to the best of my knowledge, but cannot now check the renewal date as the domain has gone from the register.

It does say that the domain will be kept in the background (I think that is what it means)

But I will not worry and just get on with it.

Stuart

Sorry to hear about what has been happening to you Stuart. You deserve better than that from WA. Sadly WA is having a few problems lately. I won't say too much here as I don't want to upset anyone.

I'm glad you are not leaving WA. You are an amazing member of the community here and I don't want to see you go. It's great you are getting things sorted.

I wish you all the best and good luck. All the best to your success.

Timothy,

You are so very kind, did appreciate your remarks.

Take care,

Stuart

You`re welcome Stuart and thank you to for your kind words. You take care to.
