Introduction

Good Morning to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

It is such a lovely morning and I am so anxious to get working I thought that I would drop you all a line first, instead of later in the day. Writing this will fit in nicely as I can cook the pulled pork and eventually prepare the vegeatbles.

I think that you will gather from the tone of this introduction that I am in a totally different frame of mind compared to last week.

In fact can I thank you all most sincerely for your guidance on my problems last week, it helped me a great deal.

The Past Few Days

Not quite sure where to start, so will update you as I think about what I did manage to achieve.

The number of you that said back to baby steps were so right, one job at a time, this is what I have done.

If I recall I said that I was not sleeping well due to my aches and pains, the last five or six days I have had really good nights, OK I do wake after four or five hours to get comfortable again, but then I have a few more hours, as a result I am feeling a lot more lively.

Spent a couple of hours in the garden the Honeysuckle around my arch needed a haircut, will slowly see what other jobs I can manage.

Whilst I have been unable to progress any further with the new product which I have found, in fact one reason for doing this now is so that I can spend the rest of my free time today doing nothing but that.

Each day I have done a little project, such as a booklet or getting content ready, just one thing at a time.

On Friday I went into town to pick up my pescription and do some shopping, as I stood in the Chemists, disaster, guess who had forgotten his wallet. The medication is free, but the other items which I had hoped to get are not.

Called in the computer shop for a chat, told him about my wallet, he asked if I needed anything I said that I had hoped to buy a USB to assist in my sort out. Bless him he does no more than hand me one saying pay me when you come into Town again.

I did walk in on Friday and regetted it on the way back, it was too much, only a mile each way, but I did struggle, in fact a Legion member stopped and asked if I was OK, but I was only a hundred yards from home he said he could see that I was struggling. I just forget sometimes that I do have a few problems.

The Next Few Days

Will hopefully get the new project started, then transfer some items from the hard drive to the new USB, freeing up some space, which should give me freedom to work until I get the new computer.

We will just have to see how things progress.

Have isolated the social media content so that I can work on it when I am able.

Conclusion

A lot happier this week, getting back to taking things slowly has helped a great deal.

The trouble is I get impatient and like to get things done yesterday, forgetting that I am no longer twenty!! (If only).

Hopefully I will continue to do bite sized chunks, before I start trying to start the new project out will do a to do list, and stick to it.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy,

Please do stay safe,

God Bless

Stuart

Hello VH

Well, you sound like you ARE 20. You sound 100% better than you have in a long time! I'm so happy for you. You said you picked up medication. Is that for the pain you've been having that kept you from sleeping? Keep doing whatever you're doing that helps you sleep.

You've accomplished a lot this week while keeping balance in your life between computer and garden. LOVE LOVE the smell of honeysuckle!!!! By Friday, your body was probably worn out and the mi out and back was too much.

As far as being 20 again....would you REALLY want that? I sure wouldn't!!! I would like to go back to 40 and do things differently but certainly NOT any earlier!

Continue to get good rest and don't get over energetic. One step and day at a time. Have a great week.

Always
Your VW

Hi VW,

Thought that my offering this week would please you, must confess that I did nothing yesterday just rested, it did me good as I had another decent night, also a lie in, ready to face the week now!!

My medication is Statins, for blood pressure/cholestral been on them for a good few years now, they do appear to work, as the readings at my two year medical showed them both down again. Did laugh when asked how much alcohol I drank a week, when I said one bottle of red and one can of beer, the reply that I got was you are well below the average for your age!!

I have four honeysuckles in the garden all different, including an evergreen one, which requires a very serious haircut. Forgot the shrub is also evergreen that will also need a trim.

I have a number of fragrant shrubs and trees, do enjoy a walk in the evening when they are in flower. The viburnam, which is a species and was expensive has just started to die off, that always makes me realise that spring is just around the corner when I smell its fragrant blooms.

Parts of my life I would like to revisit, but it is no use crying over spilt milk, just get on with life and use the hand that you are dealt.

On that note dear lady I will sign off for this week, do take great care and have a wonderful week.

God Bless,

As always,

YourVH

Sounds like you are on a good upswing. Oh, yes, I know about the impatience thing. Have found it doesn't speed things up to be that way, though, so try to mellow out...sometimes it works and sometimes just have to struggle through. You seem to be doing well, now, though, so good on ya!

Many thanks for your kind comments.

Baby steps with all of everyday life just not business, take your time

Feel that nowadays I can do no other than take my time.

Few of us are 20 anymore. The chores often seem overwhelming, but doing something each day is such a good habit. Then as time and energy allow, you can do more. I keep my list going so that I have the next task to start when I have a moment.

My list is what keeps me on track. I think you have mentioned in the past that you are a bit of a list-maker as well. Congratulations on your progress,
Sami

Hi Sami,

Many thanks for this have slipped recently, must get back to list making.

Stuart

Brilliant news Stuart. You've got that fighting attitude back again.
Keep them positive thoughts and actions going.
Bux

Cheers Bux, must confess have had most of today off, but it has not dimmed my attitude.

A day off is ok, re-energise, and then face the action Stuart
Bux

In tend to Bux.
