I am planning on adding affiliate links to an app I use.
Is it better to
- write a page on the topic of what I use the app for, including how I use the app to achieve
When adding an affiliate link, it should be within its own review post. Not just added to an informational post.
Adding links in this way is unlikely to convert to sales because you haven't given enough information for your reader to decide they want to buy the product.
And it may lead to Google seeing it as "thin content" - that you have written the post purely as an excuse to try and sell something, rather than help people, and then it won't be ranked very high.
Review page.
From your informational posts you may connect to your reviews posts.
Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.
