Thought for the day May 13, 2017

Last Update: May 13, 2017

Marriage is a great institution, when two people love one another there isn’t anything better. A great relationship doesn’t happen because of the Love you had in the beginning, but how well you continue to build love to the end. Remember Children, marriages and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get. Keep building that love today.

Very well said sir, having just celebrated my 38th Anniversary back on April 28, I could not agree with you more. A successful relationship is built day by day. Unfortunately, often people begin to take their partner for granted, and that is where relationships begin to deteriorate if we simply treated our spouse the way we did when we were courting them well falling out of love would be nearly impossible.

a relationship starts with both going in the same direction and can grow stronger over time but sometimes love isn't enough when their lives go in different directions

Peter,
I met my wife in 6th grade when we were 12 years old. It's hard to believe that we are now in our mid 50's. During this time we have had our ups and downs, and challenges. Our relationship today is stronger than ever.
You are correct in that what we have now is from the care we have given it.
Thanks for the reminder.

Your hilarious! Love it! My husband and I have to work daily on our marriage. The happily ever after stories always have the same ending, lol! And they lived happily ever after! That was the first year! Haha! Mind you I have found my Prince :)

Do you know that when I see an email alert from you that I actually become anxious! I say to myself, "What's going to be, "The thought of the day for me?" So, I take a big breath and open up the file.

Thanks Psheridan for always putting out great content!

Becky :)

I agree, Peter. I find it also to be true with cars, your health, a hobby, our bank accounts... these things require nurturing. Yet, we are rarely taught these things in school. Hmmm. Have a great day!
