Expect The "Great"
I was listening to a song the other day. And it reminded me to "Expect The Great." Sometimes, we get trapped in mediocrity. We start expecting mediocre results and we actually meet our expectations. With that thought in mind, if we're going to have expectations, shouldn't they be Great expectations? Expect The Great and even if You fall short and land on Good, that's still Great.
No Reason
I want You to think about your attitude toward Greatness. There is No Reason to expect anything else but the Great. Here's what I believe: There was a time in Your life, when you attitude was Great. Your life was good and everything was just rolling along. Then an event happened, that changed the way You look at things. I'm not saying it was a major event. I'm just saying something got Your attention and Your attitude about Greatness changed. Ok, so we know attitudes can change. What's stopping you from going to the new attitude, of Expecting Greatness.
Expect the Great Everyday
You're going to expect something, so it might as well be Greatness. Each morning, I want You to say: This is a Great Day. It does not matter how You feel. It does not matter what circumstances You're in. Expect the Great. Throughout the day, think Great thoughts. Thoughts that will advance Your Greatness. I learned over the Years, that I can't receive the things I desire, if I'm thinking contrary to what I believe. In other words, If I desire to be Great, I can't think anything less than that.
We move and perform in the direction of Our thoughts. Have You ever noticed the picture in front of a structure, that's about to be built? The picture represents the finished product. Just by looking at the picture, we can see the Great work that's about to be accomplished. Get a picture of the Greatness You desire. See the Finished product and move forward.
Release It
Greatness can't grow if you keep it inside. Just like an apple seed cannot reach it's full potential until its planted. There's Greatness in You. Release it and let it grow. I've decided to make this, My theme song. Expect The Great!

What a great job with this motivational Blog, It's exactly what Olympians do. They know their own greatness, from their athleticism to their performance and the final win and their great sportsmanship. They must have that vision in order to progress through the rigors of training to the goal of success. Thank you for another Great blog..
Thanks for connecting Donna. I agree, Olympians have an edge to their training. I believe it's inside. Their heart is in the training. Talent and Ability can only take so far. It's the heart to do more and challenge Yourself. You've got that same heart Donna. Make it happen. Have an AWEsome Day

You're Welcome Myrtle. We must help each other. That's the greatest gift We can give. Thanks for Your kindness.
You made me think of the parable of the mustard seed. “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” Thank you.
Christina, Thanks for stopping by. I love that scripture. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, it grows and becomes the largest. WoW! Who would have thought that something so small, would become so Great.
Luke 13:19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a GREAT tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
It Grew and became GREAT. Christina, You have that same Greatness in You. Christ-In-A, Have an Awesome Day!
