"My Secret System for an Ultra-Productive Year"
This year has been unique and productive for me. Everyone would think it's the big 50; maybe for some, it is, but for me, it was to be another ten years later. What you tend to do after the age of 60 is start reflecting and wondering if you can keep up with the fast pace of the working world.
That brings me to my current age of 67. Ghee, that sounds old, but it has its advantages. Well, I feel better if I maintain that line of thought. So, you are wondering what excellent relations I have to reveal? I have some, but I will save those ideological insights for a later post; for now, I want to focus on the projects and changes I made this year. I'm sort of a multi-system type of person, a Type A personality for sure, and this can work to your advantage if you learn to handle the beast.
So, what changed for me in 2024 was systemizing my approach. It would be "focus" if I could captivate it in one word. The system I used was my system all along and listed in all the ebooks I had written in the past; my problem was I wasn't following it. This year has been so different as I am focused and systemizing my hours, and no, this did not add some magical hours to the days in Georgia, but the key I want to share is this:
Select 3 or 4 projects and work intensely on that project for around 45 minutes to an hour; once that time is complete, take a break, then the next project, etc. No, it's not some mind-blowing new system; it is focus. Fear was often my deterrent for some projects., so by working on that project that I feared I was able to push through the fear and complete the project or make great strides with it.
It's not some mind-blowing new system; it is straightforward! In any case, this worked for me.
- Remain intensely focused while working on your project
- Push through any fears on the project
- Schedule only three or four projects, spending around 45 minutes on each (this number differs for everyone, based on your time, etc. ). The main thing is that you work daily for the duration of that particular project.
- plan the night before which project would work on the following day
- Work on the project you fear most work -on it first
This year, I have accomplished many goals and made many strides on my projects daily. No more hours have been added to the days in Georgia (maybe much hotter), but the key I want to share with you is listed below.
- This year, these are the projects that I have either completed or in the process of completing. :
- new website, www.mygenealogy.com
- Wrote and published a Genealogy book on Lulu
- Added two new companies to provide business coaching
- Added a new service to my company- monitoring of cases
- Developed a comprehensive program, more to come later
- Became a seller on Amazon
- Genealogy Family Research Forms, to be finalized at the end of October and published in early November
- process of creating a YouTube channel and a weekly upcoming video
- Created several planners on Amazon
- Integrating AI into my company
- Brought on another new staff person
Oh, and one last thought: stay positive. On a personal note, don't become so busy that you forget others and the struggles of those around you, especially in light of the suffering from the latest storms. Until my next blog...............................Positive Vibes

Thanks for reading my blog and the comment, yes it’s been a great year and by overcoming the fear factor I was able to accomplish so much more. Also was fearful In past that maybe at 67 I could not learn all this AI and computer programs. But that wasn’t correct. I just needed to focus !

Great read Mollie and age is just a number!!
We are never too old to learn something new on a daily basis my friend! :-)
Yes, learning is an ongoing process. Information is so available, and in the past, I tended to move ahead and not learn enough about a process before I jumped on it. This time, I am working to utilize a system approach.
Happy to hear that Mollie and all the very best moving forward my friend! :-)
