Are You An Entrepreneur
What Is An Entrepreneur?
While there are many different traits that make up an entrepreneurial mind, I think the simplest answer is WE ARE PROBLEM SOLVERS! We look at every situation as an opportunity.
In the California gold rush the real fortunes made, were not made with gold. The real fortunes were made by venders, selling goods to the miners. Men like Brannan Keenly, who bought up every pick axe, shovel, and pan he could get his hands on, then turned around and sold them for 75 times their cost.
As Entrepreneurs it is our job to find the problems and offer solutions.
Traits Of An Entrepreneur
Risk Taker
In this fast paced world, it is not enough to just have a great idea. You have to be willing to jump out there and risk it all. If you are not willing to fail, you are not willing to learn.
Innovative
New idea's are big idea's and big idea's are new idea's. If you are a sheep, you are gonna get lost in the herd!
Leader
A great leader does not try to control people. They utilize peoples strengths, guides them in a direction that benefits everyone, while letting them be individuals, and contribute in their unique way.
Proactive
When a new idea or challenge confronts you, you must be ready to pull the trigger. Do your homework, calculate your risk and act, quickly and decisively.
Aware Of Your Own Strengths And Weakness
A successful Entrepreneur does not try to do everything themselves. When they are aware of their weakness, they outsource to a stronger, more efficient alternative.
Value A Strong Peer Network
In most cases a successful Entrepreneur did not get where they are alone. It takes strong support from the people around you! Any good leader is only as good as those who support him.
So, Are You An Entrepreneur?
Do you recognize problems and actively offer solutions?
Constantly come up with new idea's and approaches?
Are you excited by change and risk in new ventures?
Willing to let others provide input and new ideas?
Excited by helping others?
Surround yourself with strong, supportive peers?
If you answered yes to these questions, you just might be an Entrepreneur!
