One word today: SNOW!

Yup! You read it hear first! Today, 11/11/2013 we have our first snow in Ann Arbor, Mi! I thought the light was shining and reflecting of wet leaves, but no. It is honest-to-goodness, cold and white, beautiful snow. For me, this translates into whenever the sidewalks are clear, I wear socks with my sandals. And when ti covers the sidewalks, I get out my boots and snow coat. I'm not a clothes horse. Two pairs of shoe attire (boots, sandals) last all year. Same with shirts. I've made 6-7 different top blends with about 4-5 different and favorite shirts. Same situation with pants: jeans, one pair of dockers linen khaki (dress), 3 pair of cargo shorts.

So, now we need to get the kid some snow foot-wear but, tonight (is it only 5:33?) I'll watch the snow and dream of holidays and winters that went before. And while that snow flies, my personal goal is to attach at least 3 pics to my WA website.

Cheers!

Oh, wonderful snow! We've already had our first snowfall in the UP of Michigan last month just before Halloween I believe, but it did melt in a day. It's been snowing off and on for the last day or so. Not a lot yet, since it rained/snowed yesterday during the daytime so it melted again, but now there's probably a couple inches so far tonight. I'm sure we'll be getting more during the night.
Hopefully the roads aren't too much of a mess by morning since I have to go to my lovely job tomorrow. That 's about the only thing I don't like about winter is having to drive on bad roads or drive in whiteout conditions. Lol, Sunday morning on the way to work it was snowing so hard for a few miles I couldn't see which side of the highway I was on, but it didn't really matter since there wasn't anyone else crazy enough to be driving out there that early in the morning. :)

Another reason to keep pluggin' away at WA! Bad roads..yup. Learned to drive over them, so long ago. We had our first 100 year snow when we lived in Corpus-the Texans didn't know what to do! :p we stayed home-didn't want to get run over...

Yup, that is a great reason to keep pluggin' away! I've spent so many years of going to work like that and just don't want to anymore. There's been many times when I'm halfway to work thinking how stupid this is I can't even see where I'm going, I should have just called in! Can't wait for the day when I don't have to drive anywhere if I don't want to : )
Lol! I don't blame you for staying home then. I wouldn't want to go out there either if I was living there and it snowed. That would be pretty scary going out on the roads in Texas during any kind of snowfall. No insult to anyone intended, I'm just saying it takes awhile to get used to driving in snow and ice. Even here we usually get more accidents happening when it's the first snowfall. :o)

screencap is quickly becoming my favorite button when it comes to building my bootcamp site content. When it comes to clothes, I always go with something of high quality. In the long run, expensive clothes actually tends to save you money by lasting. Not sure where you live but marks work warehouse has some REALLY tough clothes.

I'll have to check that out. My coat-I found for $15 at Salvation Army and it is WARM! Can't believe someone would pass that along, but they are in my prayers of thanks :)

Nice find! A good coat can often be very pricy.

We've had snow since halloween, I think. Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

I love snow and always will:) Can't wait to have our first one too...

Snow is fun - for the shoe shops!!! I have 3 boys - and obviously they have grown since the last set of extremely expensive snow boots we got them!!! So guess what, the snow boot niche is making a killing!!!!

Wish I knew how to sell snow shoes!

Cheers, Mark

It snowed here in MIssoula, Montana last week. Two inches. It was the nice fluffy kind too. But alas, it was melted by late afternoon. I can't seem to finish my piece I'm writing for Course 3, Lesson 1 for Street Articles. Already worrying about images.

OK, nice have you been here your self ? :)

I talked to my sister in the Detroit area and she did not mention snow. Enjoy the snow. The first snow fall is nice but when it gets to February and it has snowed almost everyday that is where I draw the line. Good luck boot shopping. Debbie

:) Eh. I grew up here. I'm used to it. Besides. With global warming and all, I'm even more appreciative than in years past. I wonder if the topic of snow can get people as worked up as politics? Only in a friendly manner, of course :)

we will have too during the night, here in Sweden :)

Ah, nice! I'm 1/4 Swedish, my dad was 1/2. His mom was Swedish :) The last 10 years of his life or so he was tracking his Swedish family background :)

Thats awesome! We are supposed to get snow showers tonight here in Maryland........

As long as you don't have to drive, all will be well :)
