Beware: IRS fraud
Hello, my friends. I just wanted to let you know that since it's tax season there are tax frauds coming out of the woodwork.
I received a call from a woman stating "this is an automated call from the Internal Revenue Service to inform you that there is a warrant out for your arrest for tax evasion. Before you are arrested call or have your attorney call 786-728-9378."
My first reaction is fear, then I thought I don't owe any taxes, but I know there are those that do.
So, I called IRS and the ladie said they are aware of this fraud and gave me the website to report it, which I did.
I know all of you are smart enough not to give you personal information to anyone, but please tell you family, friends, and neighbors about this. I don't want anyone to get trapped by these people.
Thanks for reading,
Peggy

What?!?!?! The sad thing is -- they WILL get some people to do that and it's often elderly. The only thing I can hope for is karma. Thanks for the heads up. ~Debbi
Thanks for the tip! appreciate your raising the awareness of the kind of unsavory characters out there during this season just looking for victims.

You should know that the IRS would not do this.
