Updating Your Content To Improve Your Ranks
It's been a while that I've written a blog here, merely because I told myself to slow down a little and look back upon the past 8 months that I've been a member here so far. This means that I'm updating my previous content, thinking what my next steps may be, and also fitting in some precious time with friends and family before the holidays.
However, I thought to share with you guys a very simple trick to improve your ranking at Google. It's very easy and you don't need a lot of time to achieve it.
I've recently written an article about making your own ACV Gummies, and I decided to add in a brand of gummies that I've used myself. Just the name in the first paragraph to make sure that I would get ranked when people were looking for the brand.
And to my surprise, the article showed up when typing in "Goli ACV gummies review". This was a bit a surprise as I didn't even write down this keyword, nor did I write a review about them. I looked at which position this keyword was ranking on Google Search Console and it was ranked at 24, which wasn't too bad for something I didn't even write.
So, I realized that the next step I would take was writing a review and having a link to their website (non-affiliate link). I've written an additional 250 words on my article, writing about the brand, re-indexed my article and I had some great results after a couple of days.
Not only did my article score higher in the ranking, but I suddenly also had a dozen or more keywords that were ranking with google. Suddenly my article was ranked between the 4th to 9th position for 4 keywords. And this only by updating content.
So, to recapitulate:
- Look at terms that are ranking with Google Search Console
- See if there are keywords that you aren't using in your article
- Analyze how these keywords are ranking
- Incorporate these keywords in your article(s)
All of this took me about half an hour and at this moment, my gummy article is my top blog post on my website (for now).

Thank you for writing this post as it is something I had been wondering about. I didn't realize how much it could do for ranking on Google.
I'm still trying to get my mind around SEO, ranking, keyword, etc.

To me it also came to quite a surprise I have to say. My article immediately got picked up by google (or it's users), which is how I discovered that I was ranking for keywords that I wasn't even using!
When I was looking into it, I found even more search terms that I didn't use at all in my articles, and they were all scoring quite alright.
So, it's for sure a good idea to look at your Google Search Console every now and then!

You illustrate perfectly a point I was making to somebody I met from the community yesterday...
In so many traditional arenas in life such a fabulously helpful discovery would be used and coveted by the person 'in the know', often in the corporate world where some of the more cynical types believe knowledge is power, such a tip would be shielded and held tightly and never become common knowledge.
Kudos to you my friend for knowing the real truth of the matter, together we achieve more and also progress more quickly due to a cumulative knowledge bank and a nurturing community around us.
