BIO UPDATE: 09-30-2017 (feel free to read my original bio down below)

Hey guys,

I thought I'd update you with my progress here at WA. I joined nearly a year ago and now, by following the training and making a few 'tweaks' here and there to suit my lifestyle and skills, I'm making more than the standard full time wage with my internet marketing businesses.

I knew it was possible and after a lot of hard work, research and experimenting, and now I've finally managed to see the rewards come flowing in. I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to be able to work from anywhere that there is an internet connection. This has made it possible for me to work from home, in cafe's, spend quality time with my family and friends and take time out for me whenever I need it.

I want everyone to know that it is possible to do this. I know there are some people that are struggling to making a living online. I would say to them that they need to persist and keep on learning because the information is here in WA and YOU CAN DO IT if you take your time and really put everything being taught here into practice.

I know it can be hard when you're desperate to make cash but I encourage you strongly - if you are not yet making money from your sites - take your time and keep on persisting.

I hope this hits the spot for you and gives you the knowledge that it's possible and you should never give up if it is important to you. You can make it work.

One last piece of advice - be of value. The exchange of money relies on it. You wouldn't hand over your money to someone who just asks for it without giving you value in return. So when you are setting up a site or service of some kind, bring value to what you do. It really makes the world of difference.

Cheers,

Peter

(Original BIO - November 2016)

Hi Guys!

I'm relatively new to internet marketing. I have been a professional musician for 25 years based in Melbourne Australia and as rewarding as certain parts of my profession can be, I am wanting financial freedom so I can pursue my own artistic projects as a musician.

As stated I am relatively new to internet marketing. I guess it started about two years ago when I was working a full time job at a juice bar in the world famous Queen Victoria Markets. Starting at 5am every morning until 4pm lifting heavy boxes, doing food preparation and serving customers and then going on to play 2 or 3 gigs that night which meant that I was getting home between 1-2am. Needless to say, I was burning out! I found myself working to live in the city to work to live in the city to work,etc...

That's when I decided I needed to find something else to do. So I did the usual thing of "How to Make Money Online" and found some very interesting stuff. And yes, I did fall into the traps! All the way from Binary Options to systems that showed great ideas but without the relevant information to put it all together. Needless to say as I'm sure you'll all understand, it was time consuming and EXPENSIVE!! Also probably needless to say I did a lot of research into the many facets of internet marketing with nothing to show for it (except boring friends and family with "Hey, I found this new thing..."

So I decided to give up. My health was suffering from working so hard and I literally burned out making it impossible to work or play music. This is an extremely hard place to find yourself. But with the help of my family and friends I managed to take a bit of time out and recover (still not 100% but working on it).

So... Two years later and I have started playing gigs again. Mind you, as much fun as it can be, it doesn't pay the rent. So I got another day job and have found myself back at square one thinking that there's got to be a better way to make a comfortable living.

I have a few plans for online business involving music therapy and am looking for the foundation to help me build this business. I am also interested to see what else is available in the way of my other interests.

I love cooking (and eating!) and because of the recent health issues have come across a massive amount of great options for creating delicious healthy menus that actually taste great. I've got to say it was a great surprise to me because I know how to make cheap comfort food well but I don't think it does a great deal of good to you in the long run. So I might consider something in that field.

As far as family and friends go, I've always been known as the rock. I love to help people in any which way that I can whether it be talking out problems and finding actionable solutions all the way to lifting fridges on moving day! I also love playing billiards, snooker and pool!

Anyway, after the long rant, I'm looking forward to meeting you all and looking forward to financial freedom so I can do all the things I've always wanted to do like travel the world, meet my favorite musicians, eat in all the great restaurants, lounge on beaches and see the great landmarks!

Thanks for reading!

Hi Peter,
Just "met" you through Jay's webinar now, and got to your updated bio, thanks for the encouragement. I have been here 6 months, though I know things take time to build up, I get "discouraged" when I see other's get a sale within their first few months, and I still haven't seen a single thing! Had to renew my Amazon associate account due to lack of sales =(
Now I am "re-viewing" my 2 sites, keywords and all, in the hope to get some form of ranking (am I asking too much?)
Anyways, am glad to connect with you and looking forward to networking with you.
I hope that I will be able to update my bio in a year's time in the same manner that you did... =)

Hey Orion!

Thanks for dropping my my profile. I really appreciate it!

I can understand why you would be frustrated if you haven't made sales and others have. There's probably a few reasons for this, but not knowing your site and niche, I can't say what it is for sure.

One thing that I have noticed here at WA is that people tend to be in a rush to make money (which I can totally understand) and therefore rush through the training and create websites without really understanding some of the elements that are critical to success.

Doing a "review" of your sites is a great idea. Going through the training more than 3 times is a great idea. I've been through the training many more times than 3 and every time I did, I learned more and more that I missed the first time around. It's like when you watch a movie a couple of times - you tend to pick up things that you may have missed when you first watched it.

It's definitely not too much to ask for rankings and it should be entirely possible for you too. Can I ask what your site is about? If I can see your site, I might be able to give you some more solid advice - but only if you are comfortable with it.

Let me know what you think!

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter,
thanks for the reach out and for the input. Wow....I did not think about doing the course more than once, but now that you say that, it sure makes sense!! When I finish bootcamp I'll got back to do it again!
I don't mind you seeing my websites - anything that can help =)
1: https://beauty-over-fifty.com (my niche website)
1: https://money-making-moms.com (bootcamp website)

Any input would be greatly appreciated =)

No worries Orion,

I'll have a look and see if there's anything I can help you with when I get the chance. I had a quick look and they are very good looking sites! I also noticed that you are living in Australia as well. Where about in Australia are you? I'm in Melbourne.

Yeah, it's a good idea to go through the courses several times and watch the webinars more than once too. If you think about studying (which we are), you wouldn't just read a medical journal and go "Yep! I got it! Let's go for the final exam now!". Part of my routine for the past year is to watch at least 2 webinars a day. I am lucky that I've got the time to do that, and I understand that not everybody has that time available. I am lucky because the client work that I do online pays fairly well and it doesn't take me very long to get it done, so I've got time to continually learn and work on my own stuff.

One thing I wanted to say is that you mentioned that the first site is only 6 months old and the second is only 2 months old. That could be a factor as to why you haven't got any rankings yet, but I'll do a bit more research and let you know what I find.

Cheers,

Peter

Hey Orion,

I had a look through and did some analysis of your websites with Jaaxy and a few other tools.

Overall they are great looking websites with well written content, so no problems there at all.

From an SEO perspective, it looks like you don't have custom meta descriptions in place for quite a few pages - and some pages don't have them at all. The keywords that you are using look like there is huge competition in the SERP's - I know some of the keywords you've picked have good search volume and what looks like low competition, but when I looked at the SERP's, they were dominated by huge brands and so on. When you do find a good looking keyword, you need to go and look at the SERP's to check that it's not 'too good to be true'.

One thing I also notices is that some of the keywords don't make sense - for example ; what is an online. It doesn't make sense and it's not related to anything in particular. It gets a ton of search volume in Jaaxy and there is relatively no competition, but it doesn't make any human sense.

The other thing that would be a huge ranking factor is that you have so many out bound links and hardly any (if at all) inbound links. I had to go through a lot of pages and I only found one. It's hugely important for your ranking to have a good balance of inbound and out bound links.

I saw on one page where you referred to Wealthy Affiliate as being a great training place - and then had an affiliate link to WA. What a visitor would see if they clicked on that would be the 'join now' page without having any relevant information on what WA is. What I think would work better for you is to have those links go to your WA review page (thus, and inbound link) and have an affiliate link to WA on the WA review page instead.

With all the outbound links that you currently have, Google will view your sites as just sales pages rather than having content that they can help their search customers with, and won't give you rankings.

Here are a couple of webinars that I highly recommend to get a clear idea of what will help you get the sites earning you some money. I know it's a lot of work to have to go and check this stuff out, but it will definitely be worth it in the long run.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter,
Wow! Thank you so much for the thorough feedback! I would like to address the points that you have brought up.

Firstly, I live in Mandurah, WA, about an hour south of Perth…nice quiet sleepy town, good for getting concentration levels up! =)

Meta Description
I have just these past few days started to input meta titles and meta descriptions, as I learned from Jay’s webinar. So I am going through one by one…tedious but will be done!

SERP’s
I see that I am totally “green” in my online business when I read your advice! I did not know or understand that we should look at SERP’s when looking for keywords EVERY TIME!. But when looking at SERP’s I would not know what to look out for as a result! Do you mean that if the keywords are dominated by big brands, I should not use them? Is that the gauge?

Keyword Sense
I did use some “killer” keywords without much sense, and understand now, after Jay’s last seminar that I need to review these (yet once again!)

Inbound-Outbound Links
From what I understand from you, on my pages I should have inbound links to posts too? And to other pages too?
I have inbound links from posts to pages – I think on all of the posts (on my WA website). On my Skin Care website I have less, I should go and link those posts to pages, yes!

Thanks for the links of the videos you recommend – will make a study schedule to go through them.

Well I do have my work cut out! Would appreciate you input about SERP’s as this is still in a fog to me!

Thanks again for all you help, it is so appreciated!

Cheers,

Orion (SantaFez)

Hey Orion,

As far as the SERP's go, yes, you are now on the right track. You have to check them every time - and if they are dominated by big brands and heavy competition - STAY AWAY!! One of the keywords I noticed that you targeted was Online Digital Marketing Course - review, and you only have one course that you have reviewed. If you check the SERP's, you'll see that the big brands of online courses like Udemy and Coursera are in the results. There is one affiliate site there, but the title of that blog post is "The top 5 Free Online Courses For Digital Marketers". I think you'd be better off doing a review of the Shaw Academy. The title of your post is a bit misleading. People that are typing in that keyword are looking for an online digital marketing course - and probably want a selection to choose from. Also, in my opinion, the amount of wealthy affiliate links that you have on that page is way too many. Google will see that as an outbound 'leak' and it will be near impossible to rank for the term.

As far as the inbound link thing goes, you can link to anywhere in your site. It doesn't have to be just to pages. You can link to other relevant posts AND pages if you want. You can have a link to an older post that is relevant to what you have been talking about, and you can ask the question "if you want to know more or can't find what you're looking for, feel free to CONTACT ME and I'll answer your questions" and hyperlink CONTACT ME to your contact page.

Enjoy the videos, they really are totally worth watching. Those strategies have enabled me to get my clients sites to page one position one on quite a few occasions, so make sure you follow it! It does work! They should give you the formula for SEOing all your posts and pages. Just make sure that you are writing relevant content in relation to your keywords and you should be fine!

Anything else you need a hand with, just let me know and I'll see if I can help.

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter, I see you followed me a long time ago! I am now following you back.

I agree about the food. Good, healthy freshly cooked food tastes great...it is hard with cheap quality and price temptations but so worth it when I cook real food!

Health and nutrition are interests of mine and I hope to start another website focused on nutritional deficiencies as I have learned through much suffering of my own that they are at the root of many common health problems.

Thanks for the follow long ago!

Hey Jessica,

Thanks for the follow back! There's so much going on here that it's hard to keep track...!

I don't want to get all conspiracy theorist, but keeping poor quality food cheap makes it easy for people to fall into some really bad habits - especially if you're a city dweller. If I had a bit of land (which hopefully I will someday), I'd love to be able to grow my own produce so I knew exactly what I was eating. In the meantime, I go with as much organic food as possible and try not to eat anything processed at all. It's not always easy when I'm travelling (which I am at the moment - and incidentally just dropped into my favourite breakfast place for eggs benedict...!), but I guess if you slip up every now and then, it's not so bad. When bad eating is a full time habit, you can run into some real trouble (which I have, and am now rectifying with better food). I know you can understand this - and it's such an important factor to overall wellbeing that is so important. You will be doing the world a great service by bringing that site to life, and I look forward to seeing and reading it when you've got it up and running. Please do let me know when you do - I'll be front and center!

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Yes, we moved this spring and now live just a few blocks from a bunch of fast food restaurants. When it is cold and dark (I live in
Alaska) as you are driving home from work, it can be easy to just get that for dinner...terrible though.

I grew up in the mountain valleys of the largest National Park in the U.S. here in Alaska. It is called Wrangell St. Elias. We had huge gardens and lived on a lake with a towering mountain behind us and huge rivers. It was gorgeous and such a perfect life. I miss it so much! I was raised with fresh salmon, fresh vegetables, homemade food (there was not fast food for literally several hundred miles!).

This whole lifestyle is depressing to me in comparison. I hope to make my businesses work to the point I can move back out there or at least somewhere with enough room for gardens again!

Nice to meet another person with similar interests!

Hi Peter

I enjoyed reading your bio!

I am just starting out here in WA.

I have been here almost 6 months. I consider myself around 3-4 months after a 2-week vacation in Paris and now with so much OT where I work. Seems like time is going by so fast!

Is nice hearing a success story!

Thanks Tim! Really appreciate you dropping by. I know exactly what you mean about the time flying by. It's just come up to a year for me here at WA and it feels just like yesterday that I hit that magical 'join' button.

There are people here at WA that are earning far more than I am, but I appreciate you calling mine a success story because for me it really is. There's nothing nicer than being able to choose what you do with your time. I am completely addicted to my business and can't think of anything else I'd rather do (except maybe visit Paris!!).

Wishing you the very best in your endeavors!!

Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate that. It's been a bit of a slog but nevertheless the hard work has paid off.

My business at the moment is about providing marketing advice, website design and running advertising campaigns for local clients. This is a blog post I did that might explain it all a little clearer. My own affiliate sites are still in the infant stages but as I've got a little more time up my sleeve, I'm starting to work on them more now. I will share them with you when they are ready.

Best of luck and I really hope your business is successful too!

No worries Eugenio. Whenever you get the chance.

By the way, I had a look and your site and it looks good! Well done on getting your framework underway. If I could offer one piece of constructive criticism - the sentences are way too long. Maybe it's just me, but I found it difficult to read because there are so many commas. I think you could really benefit by breaking down your content into more 'bite-sized' pieces and breaking up the paragraphs.

I did enjoy your story and I like the reasons you are doing what you are doing with your site. I really hope it works out for you!

All the best,

Greetings, Peter!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your bio; I automatically connect with others that have the same gift of gab as I do, lol.

That you even survived that grueling schedule is amazing! Obviously, there's something within that is striving for more. I love, appreciate and respect when our bodies just say, "Nope! I'm not doing that anymore!" And they just stop! Granted, it's not fun at the moment, but it's awesome how our bodies give us clues when we're just too hard-headed - or fearful - to make the changes we need to make.

Oh my...you got me gabbing away...OK Peter, let me end this now before this turns into a short story! I definitely look forward to reading about your progress. All the best to you!

I so appreciate your comment, Peter. I actually published a post a few weeks ago "Watered Down Welcome" that talks about al these generic "welcomes".

Granted, everyone is busy, but I do believe that instead of trying to welcome 100 people a day if we scaled that down, we would have more time to give a more genuine welcome.

If it's okay with you, I would like to share your comment.

Thanks again, Peter. That really means a lot!

I just read it. So true!

It's taken me a good six moths with the spare time I've had to learn the WA platform and how all the features and rankings work. When I started, I commented because I was encouraged to, as well are.

I was helping people before helping myself and as I learned more, I realised I was not giving the correct advice. Sure, it was good hearted because I THOUGHT I knew what I was talking about, but as I learnt more and more, I realised that there was so much I didn't know.

Anyhow, after taking a break from the relentless commenting, I have spent the last 6 months learning all the technical stuff and gathered many great ideas along the way. If I answer a question now, I make sure I KNOW what I'm talking about!!

I did a post ages ago asking if there were any people in my home town that might like to grab a coffee and talk shop. I read a thing and then heard in a webinar that Jay and Carson did this years ago and thought it would be a great idea to hang out with someone else that wants to talk shop.

I got a comment on the post from an ambassador from another country (I'm in Australia and she is in America) saying "thanks for sharing" and that was it!! I was kinda surprised. I decided to follow other comments this "ambassador" had made and noticed it was the same thing everywhere. No real contribution to anyone, and yet they managed to get to a point where they were ranking higher than Jay was!! That was the alarm bell for me.

I like the idea that we get encouraged to engage because it's good practice and very much the nature of our business. Without practicing writing and getting good at it, we don't really have a business.

I think the thing I like the most about people that do write a lot (even if we tend to ramble!), is that it builds a much more trustworthy online presence. I guess guess you and I won't have much of a problem with that!

Anyway, here ends the rant> Please feel free to share whatever you would like to. I again appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Cheers,

Peter

OK....it's official, Peter...you're my new buddie!!! Or a term that I throught of but didn't stick with the community, Waddie (WA + Buddie)!!! There's only one other person that calls me that now, lol.

Writing that post was not going to bring about mass change, but there were a few that seemed genuine in their decision to make some changes. It's interesting: people find the time to write a post and expect & want people to read & "like", but they don't w00to give other's the same courtesy.

Now that I've been around for several months, I've picked up on some of the " regulars", the ones that use the same generic comments. So I decided that although I won't unfollow them, I just won't contribute to their rise in ranking. Even if I read their post, I won't "like" or leave a comment. They may already get people to do that regularly for them, I just won't be one of them. I've also noticed that there are a few who post regularly - sometimes daily - I woukd "like" and leave a comments. But after weeks/months, I noticed those same people would NEVER leave me a comment! Adios amigo!!!

There's an Asian woman, Littlemama, we call each other "twin" because we're born on the same day. I do believe I have found my twin brother in you, Peter!!!

Until our next chat....

I was checking out your site today and thought "man, you got some recipes I gotta try!!". I love the idea of travelling the world and eating all the local foods that you just can't get from the restaurants here in Melbourne.

I'm not retired from music but I do have to find a better way to do it. I keep playing for lots of other people and never get a chance to do what I want to do, so hopefully if I can fund myself by making websites rather than playing music that's just not me, I'll get a chance to play what I truly love.

I'm guessing with your background as an author you'll have no problems creating content! Keep it up man and I'll keep visiting your site and checking out those wild recipes! I'm not sure where I can get rattlesnake over here but maybe one day I'll head on over and check it out!

Keep on Jammin, brother! I was a professional for about 20 years, during the late 60s, through the 70s and into the 80s. But although I got close to "making it" in one band, the deal with Capital Records fell through. I wound up playing cover tunes in singles bars, playing for young people to get drunk to and drag each other home to copulate, lol. Marriage happened, kids started happening, and with more bills than money coming in, plus my growing disgust for the conditions of my music "career", I decided to get out of the biz and "get a real job". I still play, write, and record, though ... you can take the musician out of the business, but you can't take the music out of the musician.

I'll be checking your stuff out, too. Oh - and you may be able to get rattlesnake through my online store. Click on any "hard to find" ingredients (they are hyperlinked, when available) and you go to my http://Amazon.com affiliate store. Not sure if they ship to Melbourne, my affiliation is with the American-based branch of Amazon, but it's worth a try.

Hi there Peter, thanks for the follow and I'm now following you back.

It's great that you ended up back in internet marketing and here at WA, sometimes it once bitten, twice shy so you are to be commended for finding the courage to search again how to make money online.

I totally get you about spending / wasting money in previous online ventures, oh well, it was a way to get here I guess, in the best place possible!

Hi Peter (Rock),

I really enjoyed reading your profile, your story is so familiar. I too had been searching online for the right program to build my online business, I had signed up to a lot of mlm's and always tried to get family and friends involved - but my instincts were telling me this isn't for me.

I was so pleased to find WA, everything you need to build an online business is right here if you're willing to put in the time. And no, I havent asked my family to join, my instincts are now telling me I don't need to.

Anyway, wlcome to WA and thanks for adding me to your network. Wishing you all the very best on your journey to financial freedom.

PS: what type of music do you love?

Hi Gaylene,

Thanks for the message! It's such a relief to find ourselves in a place where everything is transparent. I love being able to search for help and find it straight away without anything being held back.

I'm glad to hear you are following your instincts. We all have them and I find when I don't follow mine that everything goes haywire! I have a few friends that I've explained WA to and they are interested but I will let them come to it in their own time. A few of them already have as they can see the benefits. They need to follow their instincts too!

As far as music goes, I love all sorts of different types. I grew up listening to jazz so that is a huge passion of mine. I was just looking at some photos the other day of a tour I did through NZ (north island) about 5 years ago. It was with a Hammond Organ trio (one of the instruments I play) and we had an absolute ball. I really would love to get over to NZ sometime and do it all again.

Looking forward to hearing about your successes!

Cheers,

Peter

Wow, small world. I would loved to have seen your performance. But when I hear trio I instantly think - Bob James and then there's, Joe Sample, Jimmy Smith, Chick Corea - I love keyboards / piano, but also love Guitar, Sax, Bass, Drums but just too many musicians to name.

Well I hope you get to return to NZ. All the best Peter :-)

No need to name them. I saw them on your site! That's why I thought you'd like Brecker and Metheny...! Do you play music yourself? Can't wait to get back to NZ.

No, I prefer to listen.

I have a lot of my favorite musicians on Vinyls and I get them out now and again and play them on my old faithful turntable I purchased many many years ago lol. Needles for that turntable is a challenge these days so I don't play them often - but I prefer the sound of vinyls to a CD. A bit ole school, but that's OK ... for me.

When you come back, let me know where you're playing if it's close to where I live, I'd love to catch your performance.

I now have this overwhelming need to pull out my vinyls and crank up the turntable.

Great chatting to you Peter :-)

Welcome Peter.. Love your interest in healthy foods. That is included in one of my niches. I believe we can heal our self by consuming the right nutrients, mindset and exercise. We can actually turn back time in our health by what we put into our body and mind. I love the music also, my husband and I had a band a few years ago and you can get burned out quickly. We do a few gigs once in a while. Take a look at one of my sites and leave me a comment on what you would like to see or any questions are welcome. May 2017 be your best year yet. :) Judy

welcome to WA. Thanks for following, I am following you also.
Playing pool and being a musician seem to work well together.
I have done that many years ago. I then went to trucking for 35 years and now back to music again.
I have a guitar website for beginners to intermediate and a home business website.
When I retired from trucking in 2011 I had not even been on a computer so I have come a long way and still have a way to go.

Hi Peter and thanks for the follow!

It was interesting to hear about your music background and the way to WA.

I also been throw that "make money online" swamp and also lost a lot of money but at least we got some experience :)

I also have been "burned out" and was diagnosed with an sewer depression since a couple of years back. Luckily I fund the right treatment after some that didn't work so I'm a lot better now.

I left my "regular" job as a procurement officer for a little while ago to work full time online so now it's all or nothing...

Welcome to connect more with me if you would like to share or discuss something or maybe I contact you :)

I wish you all the best with you music and online business!

OMG. Peter, I actually loved your "long rant"! "I found myself working to live in the city to work to live in the city to work" -- beautifully said! I find it real. It's a stage of humanity (we are all newbies in evolutionary years), where everything has become so materialistic, that the essential primary values are long forgone. How is it a reasonable world where juice making pays (or paid) for delivering a substantial spiritual/emotional pleasure/satisfaction -- music, that is? (rhetorical question, of course)
What kind of instrument and music do you play? This (what you described above in your intro) is encouraging me to dive into a little research on virtual music studio opportunities.
Best of luck to you, Peter. And thank you for sharing your brilliant story!
Sincerely,
Anna

Thanks for reading;)! Much appreciated. I play Hammond Organ, piano and keyboards (I see you are a fellow player) as well as electric and upright bass and I play all types of music. I've worked as a session player all over the place and recorded heaps too. If you search on YouTube for "Phat Sparrow - Come together" you should be able to see the latest video I did.

The virtual studio idea sounds great! I've been thinking about that one myself a lot lately. I wouldn't mind sharing a few ideas with you.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you Anna and I'm sure we'll be talking about the studio stuff soon!

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for the follow up. I have decided to go with musical accessories as a niche. I've been a professional musician for years so it makes sense for me to start out with this as a niche as I know how important it is for my offline network to have these products as well as knowing quite a few experts in the field that can help with the content.

And I have to say that even with the reasonable amount of research I've done on internet marketing before joining Wealthy Affiliate, this platform is above and beyond all expectations by far. I had looked at marketing other niches for the sake of making some money before but didn't realize that I could really look into something I'm very passionate about. The key thing that has stood out to me today is to search "passion + affiliate program". Absolutely brilliant. This one step has opened so many doors and ideas that I'm now really excited about building my own empire!

So much appreciation to you and Carson,

Peter

Excellent Peter, the only thing I might suggest is focusing on ONE type of accessory or instrument when starting out. When you mean accessories, what specifically are you talking about?
Reply
PeterK77 Premium
I was thinking of a variety of things like guitar and bass strings, picks, capos, drum sticks and skins, reeds, microphones, etc, but am definitely happy to heed your advice and narrow it down to tie it all together. I have so many professional musician friends that I can interview for content as in top 10 dos and don'ts, as well as my own experience in live situations as well as session recording situations which I guess could lead to product reviews and so on. Do you think I'm on the right track?
Reply
Kyle Premium
That is a bit broad, you maybe should start with String instruments or something. Then diversify as you feel that you have tapped that out (even though there will be 10,000's of things you can talk about in that space alone!)
Reply
PeterK77 Premium
So do you mean focus on one instrument and the accessories that go with it? e.g. bass guitars, strings, pick ups, picks etc, or focus on different string instruments like guitars, basses, banjos, violins, etc?

Thanks for your help and advice. Sincerely appreciated.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Yeah, exactly. I would anyways, start with one and then diversify down the road. Don't try to cover too much at once or you will be overwhelmed.

PeterK77 Premium
