Pinterest is great. You could also go for Instagram and Facebook.

I like Pinterest also, it can be a great traffic source. You can check out my account on my profile page for ideas.

I still use Pinterest quite a bit, i also feel that i get a decent amount of traffic from it. However, as far a social media goes i fell facebook is the #1 place.

First, you have to create that page.
Just add a new page and write whatever you want to have on it.
Then go to "Settings" -> "Reading" and choose that page you created as your "front page".

Save the settings and refresh your site.

I also put my disclaimer on the bottom of the page. You do want people to know about the disclaimer, and you need to make sure it is on every page. However, I am not sure you need to make it front and center as you have done. Of course, it is up to you. But I do have to say that every page I know of that has a disclaimer, including my own, has it at the bottom of the page. I really don't know that there is a right or wrong way. I'd put them in the footer.
That way the disclaimers are easy to find. People usually look in the footer to find that kind of information.
