Scam or just plain ripoff warning! GDI (isregard this blogpost)
This blog is no longer valid
I have learned that it is not a good idea to blog when in an emotional state about something.
It might very well be something for somebody. In this time where the opportunity industry just keeps changing it is very confusing sometimes.
This is just a small blog to warn new people who are not use to making websites.
Also this is a good opportunity to call out SCAM!
I just found a website: http://joingdi.org/ (this is a referral site)
The company is called Global Domains international.
They sell internet services. They own all .ws domains worldwide (and are proud of that wooptidoo)
basic rundown is they give you a 7 day free trial and after that they charge you $10 per month to use their service. Per domain!! oh my god lol.
But the catch is that they will reward you for referring people,
What they are doing is technically legal but holy crap..very unethical!
I think for all the service they let you use a normal company would make you pay $35 max per year. It gets better because they even offer to sell you business cards which you do't make any money on and is very expensive!
So I say go on people and blog them to hell!
I know I will

I have been in GDI for four years I don't promote it as the commissions are too small 10% I don't do tiny commissions . it is 25% of the price we pay here, you get a blog or a website and 10 email addresses but I fail to see where the scam is? Is it because they charge for business cards?
I think it's expensive..10 bucks a month for a service others charge you 10 bucks a year. and I don't think .ws ranks very well..
If your not promoting them anyway, there is no point to stay with them.

If you add up a basic Hostgator account for hosting with 1 domain 7.16 a month x12 85.92 plus $13 domain go daddy = $99 a year instead of $120 which they pay out 50% residual commissions I have made a couple of hundred dollars in commissions from some people who joined about 4 years ago. And they still use it. I am perfectly happy with it and like the email service and will continue to use it.. Like I said commissions are too small so I wouldn't actively promote it for the income opportunity.
But as far as being a scam goes I don't get it sorry.. A scam is when someone swindles someone out of money and gets nothing in return.
The definition from the Oxford English dictionary of a scam is A dishonest scheme; a fraud:
I fail to see how providing a website hosting, domain and email service is a scam.
In fact, if you look at it closely with a 50% payout level they are actually cheaper than option 1 as they pay 50% of the $120 back to the affiliates. Hostgator pay affilates a one off commission fee then pocket the rest of the commissions regardless how many years the clients stay.
I think people overuse the word scam and everyone else just tags along.. Yes,There are some scams out there. But labelling other companies a scam is a very low form of drumming up business.
If I used the word scam and other company names in my main business opportunity I would be booted out. As I think it is fair and ethical to not call companies that you know nothing about a dishonest scheme.. Unless you have experience of being swindled in exchange for nothing.
You know when I wrote this I was in an negative mindset and maybe it is a good business. I might even go back to review them again.
I should not have called this a scam...that might have been to much.
That's okay Patrick, we all have our bad days... Hope your week was productive :-)
