HI whats the deal with .co.uk domains can I use on WA
Hello Paul,
Nice to meet you.
.co is the internetslang to .com
Yes you can use any like that. However I recommend for businesses to use .com websites.
The advantages are:
1) Your visitors expect you to use .com websites for business and are more comfortable in the use of it. And besides of that in general they are tending to search for .com websites in Google searches.
2) Google likes you more as .com websites are seen as more trust-able
3) .com looks more trust-able
4) .com is indisputable the king under business websites, as they are used for 15 years now.
.uk is more to show people your website is from the UK
So go for .com :))
Stefan
Thanks for the information, Tolinoli, my target market is based in the UK and I am from the uk so I thought it would be better for my image to have a co.uk domain. I understand the benefits of .com.
But really want my customers to think and know they are buying from the UK?
Still confused.com lol
Paul

Always go with a .com unless you absolutely positively can't find one, which is almost impossible.
Or when he is only selling on the UK market and wants to be found on google dot co dot uk. :)))
Yes I am selling in UK, I already have .co.uk domains but do not know whether to transfer the domain to wa or just to point it?

Does WA support co.uk domains
Hi dalwhu, ive not seen an option and you cant buy a co.uk from here at WA has I have just tried, I guess I could point a co.uk site to a .com but then I would have 2 buy 2 domains at my target uk audience would be on a .com site, not sure if that works well for image for UK company.
Hopefully we will get a definitive answer.
