My second month at wealthy affiliate

When I joined WA in December, I honestly had no master plan. So I decided to do one thing:

Be a sponge.

One challenge is that many people think I’m a 10-year WA veteran because of my profile date. That makes everyone assume I have ten years of experience.

I don’t.

I have huge knowledge gaps, which is why I’m always asking what I call “stupid questions.” They’re not really stupid — they’re just honest.

What I’ve Learned So Far

In just two months, I’ve learned:

• How to build a website
• How the WA back office works (still mastering themes!)
• How to create relevant content
• The importance of SEO, Google, and ranking
• Branding — building my own brand
• Affiliate marketing basics: links, disclaimers, disclosures
• Using Artificial Intelligence
• Creating images with AI
• Understanding different markets: Pinterest, email marketing, Facebook, eBooks, Instagram, social media, WordPress, hosting, SEO, PPC, UGC
• The concept of scaling into a real business

In short, I’m transitioning into an online marketing entrepreneur.

The Biggest Lesson: Community

One of the most important things I’ve learned is about paying it forward.

Helping people help themselves — so they can help others.

I’ve made genuine connections with people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. That part is priceless.

My 2026 Plan: “Strategic Silence”

My plan for 2026 was called Strategic Silence — meaning:

Action first. Talk second.

The focus was on producing results, not just talking about them.

So far:

  • 66 blog posts
  • 38 questions asked
  • 3,517 engagements
  • Countless private messages

Funny thing? The “silence” turned out to be a bit of a misnomer. I’ve communicated far more than I expected. But the goal remains: stay focused on building real results.

A Shift in Mindset

My goal started with making sales.

Now it’s bigger than that.

I’m focused on building relationships:

  • Clients
  • Potential customers
  • WA members
  • External business connections

Sales matter — but they’re no longer the end. Relationships are.

About WA Starter Members

I’ve noticed something: many starter members drift away after the free 7 days. They joined because they had a need and a hunger — that hunger doesn’t disappear.

I believe we can encourage them better, help them stay connected, and guide them toward full membership when the time is right.

Still Learning

I still get overwhelmed by the volume of tools and information. At first, it felt intimidating.

It still is — just less.

I take things one day at a time. I’m not AI (pun intended), so I stumble sometimes. But I don’t set rigid deadlines — I focus on steady progress.

Some goals may evolve, but I will achieve what I set out to do.

I’ve come too far to turn back now.

My eyes are open to opportunities I never saw before — especially in affiliate marketing.

So I keep pressing forward.

Final Words

Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way. I won’t name names — you know who you are.

February is ahead.

Full steam ahead.

Just saying. ^_^ Cheers

This really captures the spirit of WA.

Learning, asking questions, and paying it forward.

Your growth and engagement speak for themselves. Excited to see where this journey takes you next!

Hey Peter
So am I, this has been a unusual journey, not what I expected when I joined. But I won't change it for all the tea on China.
Thanks for reading commenting and sharing, I appreciate it.
Just Saying ^_^ Cheer,

2

Your welcome Paul. Have a cup of tea anyway 😂

3

Here we drink either black tea or green tea. It also have all the herbal teas. Which one? 😁😁😁😁😁

2

I stopped drinking tea about 6 years ago. Mainly drink water with a slice of lemon in.

3

Green tea is good for you. Started off life as a tea drinker, married a coffee drinker. somewhere along the line we switched. She drinks the (green) tea. I drink coffee, with turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper and cayenne powder add.
Just saying ^_^ Cheers

2

Never been a coffee drinker and I am too old to start now.
I occasionally have a green tea, but it is very occasionally

3

I should've also mentioned that my ordinary drink is also lemon and water.

Salut Paul !

2

Alors comme ça, tu as décidé de me prendre pour cobaye ? Très bien, je te donne le feu vert pour recommencer quand tu veux !

Wonderful and inspiring message, Paul! Welcome to your 'second month' :)

I can definitely relate. I had a similar experience. Joined and was still active in a job outside WA. My client was very demanding and in the middle Covid hit. I've really had a long break but have been back full time and learned a lot.

3

Hey George
WA definitely rocks. Thanks for reading commenting and sharing, I appreciate it.
