I'm not sure blogging works for everyone.
Even though I made many posts with keywords for five months now, I don't think people can make money this way. If they do, they don't say how. Affiliate programs don't pay good commissions. To make a living out of this and you have to sell something that is not cheap.
No one tells you exactly how to drive traffic to your website. Keywords are fine but don't give a lot of traffic.
You build your website, try to do all that the training says but then you're mostly left alone, and you have to get information elsewhere. The other is you have to pay for every little thing or get coaching. That if it is not a scam, like most things out there online.
Sometimes I think a full-time job is much better than trying blogging. At this point, I don't think blogging works for everyone. Perhaps the problem is too many people doing the same thing, and this no longer works.

Hi, Patrike.
I visited your website.
It is nice but not set up for monetization
I do not know what to say to you.
It seems that right now, you are your worst enemy.
Paul.
Sorry to hear your situation. I hope I can reassure some points. I've been professional in website design, development, SEO and digital marketing for over 16 years. I can tell you from experience that blogging is the key and all the large corporations are achieving results from blogging. Kdev correctly suggests there are ways to earn incomes from selling ebooks and the like, but blogging is the current key to effective traffic building. Traffic being the main point.
Keywords lead to blogging, blogging leads to traffic, traffic brings leads, leads convert to sales. It's the old numbers game. The more traffic, the better the conversion to sales. Traffic is the ultimate objective. Blogging is one of the methods.
Social media, paid posts, adwords etc are other methods, but blogging is the most cost effective for us low budget dwellers (that's me), and the big budgets.
Yes, I know that, and I've done all that. But for any little thing, you have to invest. And you have to add to all this to avoid thieves and blah blah blah from a lot of online marketers. It 's hard to find serious marketers or a good coach telling you the truth. Thank God! I'm a Journalist, and one of my skills is that I can read people very well. Hopefully, in 7 months I have avoided more than 20 scammers trying to sell me programs that are not worth it.
Might be best if you pass on to the WA community anything that you feel might be a scam. Certainly invest, but not in cost items, when I'm blogging for a company and helping with digital marketing, I spend very little in extras. It's all creative writing and sharing on social media. You have that talent with your journalism and I think you are in a great position to do really well. Certainly hope you continue. Your site is a great niche. I'm curious to review more of it.
With affiliate marketing, the money comes when you have high traffic numbers. I've seen a lot of bloggers recently turning to developing online courses to go with their website. They do the work once and then sell the course for anywhere between $100 - $2000. Imagine having a $300 course that you sell to just 100 people. That's $30k right there.
That's a great idea. Like it. Not too sure I am capable to do it yet but keeping it on the back burner.
I was happy with myself for creating a call to action earlier on for the first time linking from facebook to website with a free giveaway to try and get some traffic on one of my websites. I did it in the form of a very easy competition running from now until the end of the month then 10 people who answers correctly in the website comments will have a free drawing by my husband, he is good at art. I will let you know if it works. So I have created a funnel. Yay.
Also for Patirke, I have been told that it is a good idea to do the free sign up with FLIPBOARD and link up with your blog on there. I am in the process of doing that and was going to do more on it today but was distracted by mt competition idea. Maybe tomorrow
Oh dear, you are feeling glum about this. I have 5 websites and a blog and have not made diddly squat yet and I have also been here for 5 months. I am totally broke but I know that I am doing all the right things and in time it will happen. I am a little frustrated that I don't have any of my own domains because then I could use AdSense and put adverts on all of my sites. I share everyday socially, some on auto and I have no referrals either yet, not quite sure how people do that, but I signed up same as everyone else. Just trying to tell you-you are not the only one. If you keep going it will happen, stay positive, It will all work out. You could always work full time and just twiddle with your website or blog for half an hour a night or something.. Just don't give up, that is very defeatest.
Deep breaths now and repeat after me...I am enough, I can make this work.
Andi.
Hi. I understand your point. Maybe you can create another website? I think to start any business, it is bound that we would meet some obstacles. It is only through these obstacles and difficulties that we would become stronger. Like many people said, do not just put all your eggs in one basket.
My suggestion is maybe take a break( I don't know how long) and reflect whether do you still want to continue or not. Only time would tell.
Best wishes.
Sure!! We'll see. But that is an alternative. My point is that is not only that you have to build a website, get traffic, and monetize it. You have to invest in every additional thing, a premium theme, autoresponder, and the list can go on and on. And you have to also avoid the scammers :)
Yes. But that would wait till you start earning. For a start, I think you do not have to invest in those things first. Content is more important.
Well as for scammers, I think in any business lines, there are risks. We just need to be careful and not go for easy ways. There are always catches which we need to be alert.
Sure! Not at first but in the end you will have to invest. I don't mind investing if the money comes later.
People just get frustrated thinking the money is going to come fast. it takes time, hard work and stay motivated. it does work.
You do not have to be negative when l joined here,l knew nothing and l know if a no body like me can make money from what l learned here, anyone can.
I don't know how many posts you already wrote keep working, there is no magic things will work out.
One thing is being negative. I'm a very positive person, and my faith helps me a lot, as a Roman Catholic. At least my faith helps me more than average people. But I have, to tell the truth that there is a lot of scams out there offering something that is not realistic. Thieves are everywhere and the online market, marketing online is one of them.

Hi there, I have been over to your site and couldn't figure out where to leave a comment only in RSS however that works?
No idea.
Also, your social media buttons might be better in the original colours that I had a hard job to find them in orange.
Maybe have them where they are but have more at the top of each page.
The rest of the content is great.
I am going to try cheese and onion pizza.
I am sure in "your theme" you can activate the comments box.
Share your own page on all social media by viewing your site and clicking on your own buttons every day. When sharing to Google add a comment to your post before you post it.
Don't lose heart. It will be fine.
Yes, there are a lot of food blogs out there but probably not so many Argentinean ones.
I am asking the community to help also to see if they have more advice.
Andi.
Is Patricias' site o.k?
Can anyone help by having a look at her site and offer advice to get it working for her please?
Thank you! That is very nice. I'll change to a Premium Theme, and I don't like the share buttons either.
I have the comment box activated, but I don't have no an idea what happened.
Thanks for your help. Don't you worry! I always speak out loud. That is the way I'm. I don't have anything against WA or something like that.
Every day I receive lots of emails with different offers for Marketing Online, Easy Money Making Softwares, etc. , etc. I'm sick of liars and thieves. Reaching honest people in this market is difficult.
I also believe that there are many of us trying to do the same thing, building a website, trying to work from home, and I don't find this is an easy journey. Another thing is that I don't want to waste time and money if this is not effective.
