An Update and Goals for 2019
Apart from my Christmas and New Year's greeting, I have not really given an update in quite a while.
This post is to highlight what I've been up to and where I am heading in the future.
Because of the Christmas season and how hectic that time of the year is, I did not do much writing on my website. In fact, I only started back writing consistently after Christmas.
I've been spending time with family, a former co worker passed away and I've picked up a side job in sales as well.
School is starting back very soon so a lot of time will be spent studying and finishing up my degree.
For those of you who don't know the culture in my country, we celebrate a festival called Carnival every year where masqueraders dress up in costumes and parade the streets in their respective bands.
This is usually also an extremely hectic time of the year for me because my job is centered around Carnival and requires me to work extra hours.
Plenty nights of little sleep and lots of work ahead.
Looks like I will need a lot of energy drinks to keep me going... LOL
I have a lot on my plate as you can tell.
So you may be wondering where will I get the time for Wealthy Affiliate?
The key to making sure everything gets done is proper time management.
My website is just as important as both my jobs and school. I will need to manage my time as best as possible to make sure I continue to stay on the right track.
Below I have written a few of my accomplishments for 2018.
2018 Accomplishments
- Came back to Wealthy Affiliate permanently.
- Create my first website.
- Signed up for Premium.
- Wrote 20 posts on my website.
- Moved drastically in ranks. From 86000 something to 330.
- Completed Level 2 of the OEC Course.
My goals for 2019
From many of the posts I've read here, a lot of you guys never considered yourself writers and some of you were even unmotivated to write.
I have fallen into that category as well. Many people have told me I express myself better through writing but for some reason, self doubt has caused me to doubt myself.
So for the New Year, my goal is to write consistently and frequently. I would like to write between 15-20 articles per month.
I also want to start earning money from my website. Right now, I'm not looking for much, just a few dollars per month honestly.
I want to make sure my website has engaging content and people want to read my posts. Not skim through it and move on to the next one.
Some of my goals are as follows.
- Consistent and Frequent Content Creation.
- To start earning my first few dollars online.
- Change my website domain.
- Complete the OEC Course at Wealthy Affiliate.
- To have increased traffic to my website with more visitors.
- Achieve Las Vegas 2020.
I want 2019 to open avenues for me to achieve the goals I have listed above. I'm going to be putting in a lot of work this year towards my website to achieve this.
I just need to start believing in myself a lot more than I do now and stop doubting myself and my abilities.

Congrats on 2018 girl, and welcome back!
Your goals are achievable. I myself learned how to write my own goals. And what I've learned so far, as you may want to put "steps" that need to be taken in order to obtain your goal.
consistent and frequent content--what steps do you need to take? I would define that to 2 or 3 posts a week, and then break that down into steps too.
I hope this makes sense. I feel as if I'm the blind leading the blind, LOL

KEISHA !!!! I am so proud of you!! You have come so far in just a couple of months. Your writing confidence is showing in your content and you have such a good attitude. The increase in your rank shows how hard you are working and the rest of 2019 is really going to be a launching pad to bigger and better things in the future.

One of our WA members put her http://HappyHealthyJuicy.com website up in a contest to other members here. And I won!! The site will go great with my personal training site. After Vegas we can go to Carnival next year. Have you watched LIttle Mama's videos? I am on the third one. She really can light a fire under a person. Glad to talk to you and don't work(and party) too hard at Carnival.

Really need to work on that soon. I'll be far from partying at Carnival. More working my butt off.

Wow ... I'm exhausted just thinking about your 2019 goals. And you are planning to juggle the time demands of a job and completing your college education. Energy drinks might help in the short term, but in the long run you could compromise your health.
So I hope you include getting enough sleep. I can remember getting by on 3 to 4 hours sleep when I was your age. Now I need twice that. :-)
I recommend completing the OEC training before you take on Bootcamp. It's sort of a prerequisite. The content tasks in Bootcamp (WA Affiliate site) will be more demanding than OEC training (niche site).
