Let's say I want to use an image but I'm not sure if I can just download it and use in my site, so, is taking a screenshot of it a way of making it legal?

I know this is a International Business site, so this merely reflects the laws of the United States.

However, there are ways to correctly gather images for your site. For this reference, I'm getting another blog site as well as a reference from WA.

thanks a lot!! very useful comment!

Hi Andres! -

I am sure this must be illegal!

After all - your are taking a digital copy.

Hopefully - someone will put me right - if I am wrong! :)

Yeah, I figured that, but I'm wondering this because of Kyle's lesson "Making use of visuals" where he mentions screenshots as an option. Gotta watch the walk-through video again: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/building-your-own-traffic-producing-website/making-use-of-visuals

Hi Andres! -

That would be a good idea! :)

Ok, I watched the video again and Kyle said you can't take a screen capture of a copyrighted image and assume is now yours. However, now I'm wondering how I can be sure whether an image is copyrighted or not so that I start looking elsewhere?

Hi Andres! -

You have got to assume - all images - are copyrighted.

But of course you can purchase images - fairly cheaply.

If you are prepared to look around! :)

Yes, you can do that and it is legal.

I think if you created then you have all the rights over me.
At least in my opinion.

That is a very interesting question. I can't wait to see the responses. :)

I'm starting in this affiliate marketing world and I'm wondering what the process of payment would be like, including taxes. I don't want to skip anything that could end up

Hi, dear civilian, I'm from Bogota, and you? I just get started here a few day ago, and I'm learning slowly, but I think I found my right place here on this platform.

I'm from Puerto Rico if that counts :)

Of course it counts. My main concern is about how to get paid not having a US bank account and any taxes I would have to pay by profiting from affiliate marketing

You can do it using PayPal but I'm not sure how it works in different countries.

Hey orpheus, congratulations on starting your journey, the payment process is really vey simple, if you do decide to go for the special offer you get your first month for $19, and after that if you stick with the program its $40 a month, I hope this answers your question

Thanks PTorrez. Actually, I meant the way we get paid as affiliates here in latinamerica. I've read most of the affiliate programs pay either by direct deposit or PayPal, which we don't have access to. I also read something about a system called Payoneer which gives you a Mastercard debit card from a "virtual" bank account in the US. Does it sound familiar, or would there be an easier way to do this?
