Still working my way through the certifications. I finally submitted my first Street Articles story. Hopefully, it gets green flagged.
It really can be tough to make time to work through the material, make posts to your site, etc....I shall persevere!

Update: I got green flagged on the article! :D

Hey that's great news! Congrats.

Kyle and Carson are pretty particular about what they will approve for Street Articles. I have had every article approved the first time. The best advice there, is to follow the advice in training about what they want and what they don't. It's pretty simple but specific.

Just submit. The worse thing that can happen is that you have to edit it and resubmit it. If you never submit, the answer is always no.

I'm glad they're particular. Street Articles wouldn't be as useful if they weren't. And as for submitting, that's why I wrote it already. I think it should pass muster but if not I'll get back to work on it.

One lesson I've taken very seriously is create, create, create as far as the content goes. So I'm pushing myself to create posts and pages on my site and create those articles and get the backlinks generated.

I'm sure, in the end it will pay off. It is tough to "make" yourself do it though, even when you're interested in your niche. Developing habits takes time. I'm planning to make these behaviors a habit.

Thanks for the feedback!

Nice job Optix. I'm nowhere near ready to write articles myself, but it seems quite challenging from the posts by others that are submitting them. Best of luck in getting your article approved.

I think everyone has a different comfort level as far as writing goes, Mike. I don't seem to find writing articles (and posts, and pages) as challenging as some others do.

I've blogged in the past, so perhaps that has helped me. I am certain that the more you write content, including articles, the easier it will become to do so in the future. So don't get too hung up on whether you're ready or not. When you get a topic, give it a try.

Thanks for the good thoughts!
