A lot of folks have said they're getting duplicate content errors in Site Content for posts that they have written in their own words. Here is the technique I use to find the specific content that's 'choking' the app and correct it.First - remove the headline and leave a stop word or two in it, like "It Is" and see if the publish button will post your content. If so, the headline was the issue and you can go in and immediately revise it on Wordpress. If it's still a problem, cut/paste your enti

Today was a mostly offline kind of day. I had administrivia to take care of for businesses not related to my websites. Grocery shopping at Walmart too.Had a mentoring session with a potential new client. That necessitated some research into rates for services that I haven't offered for a while. The 'going rate' is highway robbery in my opinion. It seems that there are a lot of folks still struggling with validating their links. This is sometimes because there are built-in 'fraud' detection scripts in place to prevent affiliates from clicking on their own links to make a sale. (Sad, but true). But this makes it difficult to validate links. Here is the process I use to validate links:Cut/paste the text link into an plain editor that allows hyperlinks - notepad, word, etc.Click on the link to follow it.Does it go to your target destinatio

Today was a very odd day.I live in the country. Rodents are a fact of life. In the 15 months I have been living here, I had captured two deer mice and a vole. I have live traps in the house. After catching them, I drive them over five miles to a park in our community and release them near a lake.Last night, shortly after midnight, one of my life traps went off. The little buggers are LOUD when they get trapped in those things, trying to claw their way out. So I got up, set the trap in the garag
