Make Your Website Lightning Fast With One Click
Hey everyone
How’s the WA family doing today? Over the last couple of months, I have been working daily on building up my site content, trying to build traffic, move up in page rank and optimize SEO. One of the things that I was alarmed about was that my SiteSpeeds on the WA dashboard appeared very low. Given that Google and other engines use SiteSpeed as a ranking factor I was concerned.
Just so that you know you can get your own site speed by going to
Websites --> Site Manager --> Details --> Scroll down to Page Speed Insights. Hit the Check button to get your speeds on your posts and pages.
When I did this for my MMO site this is some of the data I saw. The numbers shown below sucked. The first numbers column is for desktop and the second is for mobile. And in any language yellow and red dots are not so good.
So I went to the WA search bar to see if I could find something written on this subject. Sure enough, Carson had a post on it. Check it out HERE.
In short, it says that WA offers two SiteSpeed options. By default, my site, as I think everyone else is set to Accelerated. When you switch it to Extreme (see image below) your site is supposed to move lightning fast.
So sure enough I changed it and looked at what happened to my Site Speed results for the posts. My numbers remarkably improved in both desktop and mobile. Still, some work to do in the latter but I think I know why.
So tell me did you know about this WA feature and more importantly after reading this will you make the change to Site Speed Extreme?
Let me know if you liked this article and appreciate any comments you might have.
Stay blessed I am heading back to my writing.
Hugh

Great to have you on here again, Hugh :-)
Good tips and important tips. I found the feature quite quickly after I started on the Wealthy Affiliate platform. But the feature is kind of "hidden-away". So again great reminder.
Going to be awesome tosee how your focus will turn out in relation to visitors and conversions.
You got this!💯💪😊

The Big Man in the Business thanks for the salutations Roy.
Yes trying to convert my octopus-type mindset to one that is more singularly focused is a real challenge but I realize that I have to keep my content push front and centre. The numbers are creeping up so I just got to keep on this path. Thanks always for your support.
Aannnndddd . . . he's back!!
Good to have you back, Hugh and to dive into this information discourse between you and the Prince.
I really do not pay much attention to site speed.
For desktop, my traffic lights are about 90% green and 10% yellow.
For mobile, 75% green, 20% yellow and 10% red.
I would usually address the red issues by going into Google's Page Speed Insights directly and paying attention to the LCP, FID and CLS web vitals. (See image attached.)
Between those metrics and images, I get sorted quickly.
My plugins are growing and changing depending on the work at hand.
No issues here - yet.
Thanks for getting me off to a brain-charged start today.
Do enjoy yours!

Well glad to be back Cassi. Anytime Partha and you drop in I have to bring out my buckets because you know knowledge sharing. I will have to check my Digital Thesaurus to get behind some of those acronyms and what to do. The key point is to monitor the vitals and make changes as is required.
Thank you, Barbara, and, congratulations on your WAmbassadorship . . . again. :-)
It is my pleasure to be in your close company.
Cassi
Hugh, it will be easy for you to understand.
Just keep clicking through.
Content is my focus for now though as I continue to push those traffic numbers up.

It is not something I check on very often Hugh. I have mine set at extreme, but my mobile speeds have never looked good.
I checked a minute ago and some have a no score because they haven't been scanned since 2019 !
A couple of others have a desktop score of 98 and a mobile score of 28
Looking at the titles, I know they have a CTR of about 3 or 4 minutes.
Maybe the reason the numbers suck, is because someone is reading them very slowly 😁
Anyway, ran a re-check on them, while the mobile speeds still suck, it is time to move on to doing another post.
All this fine tuning, optimisation stuff does my head in.
Michael.
Yeah Mike you had me laughing out loud with the slow reading bit. Maybe someone could explain what we can do to get the mobile side to run more on par with the desktop. Above my pay grade lol
Yeah tell me about it...
How do I reduce initial sever response time by 4.18s, and what the hell is a cumulative layout shift..? There is a 0.147 saving there, where ever it is.
Lol
Michael.
Yeah we need a class on the solution. There should be a WA suggestion portal for topics in urgent need. Hopefully someone is listening.
Thanks for the tips. I have a couple of posts that are down in the low numbers and "red" and I structure all of my posts the same (MMO niche). Most of mine are high 90's and "green" but a couple are really low. Any idea why?
Also thank you for sharing!
Hello Robert. When you click the G next to the title of your post under PageInsights you will get a detailed breakdown of the issues (see sample attached). If you scroll down you will see a section of opportunities that points to recommendations. Someone who understands the jargon would be able to tell you specifically whether to apply the suggestions.
Yes, that's what I was missing. The rabbit hole goes a lot deeper lol. Thank you for clearing that up and giving me that next step!

Great to have you back, Hugh! I was wondering about your whereabouts. Now, I can see you were engaged in some worthwhile pursuits.
Thank you for the important information on site speed you have unearthed. Page speed is an important ranking factor in Google and I intend to implement your findings.
Hey Dada glad to be back my friend. I trust you are well? Yeah site speed is indeed critical. I might ultimately blend Accelerated with WP Rocket and see how that fares given all the discussion that came below.
