Hello Dear Readers! Welcome to Day 13!

Today's blog will be a bit different since I promised to elaborate on the opportunity I mentioned yesterday.

Yesterday I mentioned that I'm now paid monthly to write blogs for a company. This is fantastic because I can work from anywhere while earning an income for my efforts. This is something that I talk a lot about on my new website that I'm building by following the training here on planet WA. For those of you unaware, my niche is Living a Digital Nomad Lifestyle. So without further ado..

How it Happened

Company X reached out to me through one of the e-commerce websites I built and regularly write content for. Long story short, Company X emailed me and asked if I would be interested in writing for them. Initially, I told them,, "No, thank you." Company X asked me, "Why not?" To which I replied, "I prefer to remain independent, thank you for your consideration." Undeterred they told me that I can remain independant and they'll pay me per article. I said: "Make it monthly and I'll meet with you to learn more." They opted for a skype call, I don't trust opportunities like this over the internet personally, so I flew out to meet them instead. After doing my due diligence (ALWAYS DO THIS!!!), I booked the flight and met with them on Friday, now I have a new stream of income.

How YOU Can Make it Happen

Now you might be thinking, "I can't do that because I don't have an ecom store", but you'd be wrong. First, it doesn't have to be an e-com store. Second, if you have a website you already have what you need to find opportunities like the one I described above. This opportunity came to me only becuase I put myself out there and it is not uncommon. I have received similar opportunities in the past and I turned them down due my personal desire to work for myself. I chose to work with this company as a consultant becuase nothing changes other than a new addition to my weekly activity schedule. The effort I have to put in to earn my new monthly income is something I can do in my sleep, so it makes sense for me to do it.

You Don't Need to be an Expert

Whether you are new to WA or not, the website you're building here gives you two VERY valuable things:

ONE: A place to show your work. This creates credibility and trust, a valuable thing, especially in the online business world.
TWO: A marketable skill you can offer both online and offline.

Now you may be thinking, "but Kyle! I'm not an EXPERT yet!" Define "Expert." If you know how to do something, you are an expert. The truth is, once you know how to do something, you can start earning an income from it. You do not need to be an "expert" to do that. You just need to be better at it than the person who is hiring you.

As business owner, I hire people all the time to do things I *COULD* learn to do myself becuase it saves me time. Time I can spend on other things that either make me happy or generates an income. Time is our most valuable resource and we don't know how much we have on this planet, but we do know that once we spend time, we cannot get it back. Trust me when I say that money is a small price to pay someone who can save me time. Especially for a business owner.

How to Expand Your Earning Potential

Don't limit yourself to promoting your website online exclusively. Affiiate Marketing doesn't have to limited to cyberspace alone. If you have a product or an offer you think can benefit someone, there's nothing stoping you from suggesting they check out your website. During the pandemic I bought a cool voice activated mask that displays a happy face:

It made quite an impression on people when I was out and about and they started asking me where I got it. So, I made a business card with a QR code that takes them to the product I made and I dropshipped each order to my new customers. This is just one of many ways that you can expand your offers into the offline world.

Conclusion

I hope this helps people to see the training that WA provides here isn't restricted to the online world alone. There are many ways that you can accelerate your earning potential. You just need to shift your mindset until you start seeing the potential opportunities building your own website can create for you. I talk about this alot of my website but I hope this blog post helps you to think a little differently about the training you're receiving here. I

As for my 31 day challenge: Blog posted to my site yesterday, unfortunately I wasn't able to post an update last night due to a black out so I woke up early today to write and share this blog with you as promised.

If you have any questions about anything in this blog, feel free to write them in the comments below!

Until next time Digital Nomads!

I tend to enjoy learning to do things that need to be done rather than have someone else do it. I got a post done today. Still only two behind.

I hear you; I love to learn as well. But unfortunately, I tend to overexert myself and miss out on opportunities when I could have delegated a task to someone else. Unfortunately, this is a common issue among those who are self-employed.

While it's great to be self-employed, there will always come a time when we need to bring others into our orbit. Especially if we intend to grow our businesses beyond their earning capacity.

There are only 24-hours in a day, and we can't be everywhere at once, so finding ways to save time and do more quickly becomes a necessity :)

Great job on the monthly blog for company X and for all the newbies out there it is great advice to you as well. Never let yourself feel trapped by the box. It is there for comfort but to soar like an eagle you have to leave the nest and soar.
Jerry

Hi Jerry, Thank you kindly! Indeed, while it is undoubtedly essential to focus on the primary objective here: to earn an online income, we should always be wary of tunnel vision. I know I certainly had it when I started my first business, and I wish I had realized it back then. I hope to help others here to avoid that and see the additional opportunities our training here at WA provides.

You're still doing GREAT, Kyle! Keep it up, my friend!

Jeff

Thank you, Jeff! I'll keep hammering away until I get my shiny Premium plus crown ;)

I know that you will, Kyle! You'll be there before you know it!

Jeff😎👍

Your post has encouraged me to see what opportunities are out there. I did do some writing for a site years ago, but they only paid me for half my work and then disappeared. That's the due diligence thing. Well. in terms of the challenge, I have publisned two articles and one Youtube Post in the 5 days. I am behind by two but will make that up.

I hear you; it's certainly not always easy to verify who has good intentions or not. I've had a similar situation as well. Admittedly I had some trepidation with this deal. This is why I gave them the hard sell from the start and flew down to meet them in person.

Most bad actors and scammers will usually move on when they encounter resistance like that. I also don't take on any consulting job unless they are willing to sign my contract that I know I'll be able to enforce. I wish I didn't have to do that since I like what I do, but I've been burnt like you, and I'll do everything I can to prevent it from happening again.

That being said, I'll be writing a blog post on my site next week about how I do my due diligence. I learned a lot running my e-com stores and encountered all kinds of "interesting" situations I learned from, haha. So I'll let you know when it's up!
