Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder - It's goodbye for now
Just pass my 3-month mark here and since my RESOLVE not to engage too much in Chat, my WA ranking has dropped to 80.

In the next 2 weeks, it's going to drop further but that's not the main topic of this blog. Just like to let you peeps know that I am going on a trip to China and am not sure whether I would have internet access (lots of time will be spent travelling).
My main concern now is:
1) If I'm not posting articles, what will be the impact to my website?
2) Will you guys miss me? :)
I really like working on my site and learning together with the WA family so this is something I will miss out for the next 2 weeks.
One positive note is, I may gain new insights from my travel, so watch out, I may come back with a vengence!
Anyway, thanks everyone for the great support so far. I will definitely miss you guys!

I take it you are venturing further into the country than the east coast...I have had no problems with connectivity in my travels there, but was sticking pretty much to areas with larger populations...Take care! Hey Dave, I will just be travelling to the Southern part of China. It's a city I'm going to, so hopefully I can get some internet connection from time to time. Not sure if I can log on to WA though, will try it out and see how. Definitely will bring back some good memories :)
Don't bother going online in China. There's no Google, can't even check your email or website stats.
I would do the old fashion way - pen, notebook and camera - write and take snapshots of inspirations. Walk down the streets and look at how business are done differently from your home country.
Come back with new perspective/ideas and don't forget to share them with us :)

Thanks for your great suggestion, will need to do some preparations. Now I am so glad I wrote this blog.
The last I check, WA is not banned in China :) so you can still check on us, but that defeats the whole purpose of writing this blog, right? :))
LOL! I want to work on my website as well as connect with WA, so if it's not banned, I can still check in.
1) Should be fine. Some prepare articles on reserve for such cases, but I hardly do that, either.
2 weeks shouldn't impact your site much.

Just got a tip from Jay that we shouldn't tag our images because many times the images outranked our contents, so now I have lots more homework to do.
The alt-tag we input when we insert images. I notice in my GWT that my images get ranked but not my posts :(
At first I was happy because at least something got ranked right? Then I told Jay and he said not to tag images anymore.
Then I'm even more confused.
It is common practice in SEO to put your keywords in the alt-text.
Strange.
Yes it is a common practice and also advocated by many gurus, but Jay says otherwise, and what he says, we listen :)
