Scareware
Hello Waers,
I just received an email from one of the technology newsletter since I was in school, and I would like to share this technology term "SCAREWARE", a type of malware also which is designed to trick victims to download personal information. It generates pop-ups that looks like an error message. It looks very real and it alerts the user that there is a large number of infected files on your machine. You will be prompted to call a phone number or click on a link to clean the infection.
Don't ever give your credit card information or download a website to clean up, it is a malware that infects the computer, your machine will be totally unusable.
The scareware pop-ups has a clickjacking feature that will redirect user to the attacker's website, you can't even cancel of close the window.
If this happens, the best bet is to shutdown your machine, wait 60 seconds and then reboot.
Take care all!!!

Good information, never open a link in an email, ever, unless you know the source personally.
Its another way to avoid all those scams, its good that Internet is helping us but we do all need to be watchful of what is going on in our machine. Thank you for the comment.
