"New" social media!
I was very happy today, both because the work we have here, for better more and positive vibes!
I need to explain why it was great to see this!
I have never been a fan of Twitter, mostly because I felt it was boring. But because my site needs links like other sites, I opened an account there to get that.
But! Some months ago, I started really bad things on Twitter when a person bought it, which I, to say is sooooo soft, got on all my nerves because of being the type of person I really don´t like and is very careful that don´t come close to me! You know the person because of his friends.
After he bought it, a lot of rubbish came there and even worse, as expected.
So it was very difficult for me because of my values to even be there, though it is good for my site to get links there. But it matters where you have the business, even if it costs, so I have thought for a long time about whether I should leave.
After the world tragedy in one country (I am not allowed to say these things here and... well I stop here, you know all what I am talking about). And in the last few days, more bad news has come so I decided to not be there, leave the account open if new people come in the future.
When I woke up today I saw a social media which I had never heard about, but has grown incredibly fast in the last 2 weeks and the reason is obvious!
It is obvious and confirmed of some that many/most of these people, Stephen King for example, and sports clubs (The football club St Pauli latest) come there for the same reason as I.
After the tragedy it grew on by 30% per day. 1.000.000 people have come in the last 2 weeks.
So I jump directly in, it looks good what I have seen and have in mind that it is growing very fast. This is Bluesky https://bsky.app/ I have a place for my links and will look at how the live it there, first feeling is that it is good!

Many people even here absolutely loathe the owner of that platform and say they'd never create an account. The opportunity on that platform is beyond huge. It has the potential to get your content in front of eyes instantly instead of posting and waiting. I have a checkmark, and I know it's value. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I guess you are talking about Twitter. Yes, the owner is a person which never ever been on my Christmas cards list! Worst of all that now he can made even more problems.
I will never been there because of my value I don´t want to step down to it.
About the opportunity, I have never seen any person who has managed to benefit from it for business. In other parts than business, yes.
But there are limits you don´t go over. And this new one looks great. Even so, it is, like the other was, only to get a link because it is built up, and then you have no success there for business.

Just created an account, not sure if "another X", is going to take off. Didn't see anything too interesting about it, and I think even Threads has done a more elegant jobs of implementing a "Twitter like" platform.
Time will tell, but I am guessing that this gets a bit of news early on, but will lack staying power and actual activity.
Maybe. I saw it as a good way to add link.
Yes it is clear that Twitter, nice try :) system is used. Probably because people and clubs seems to be leaving Twitter but obviously most of them from Europe.
Time will tell, I sleep at least better :)
I was reading about the new Twitter. Saw that the key man is Jack Dorsey, former owner of Twitter.
But after what happened 3 weeks ago or 2, it looks very clear to me that there will be a lot of Europeans there.
Big media (news media) have already moved from old Twitter to it. Like the biggest newspaper in Sweden, the Guardian and more have all confirmed they have stopped on Twitter and will be in Bluesky.
I have no ambition or feelings for Bluesky. Time will tell what happens, but it is growing huge after the case, and my first feeling is that it will be like that in Europe.
Personally I don´t like this format at all. But I remember too that it was much more popular in the USA (and Canada?) for a long time before Europe came in.
