How to make her happy.
On September 12, during my stay in hospital, I was moved to another ward. I had a very comfortable bed and my place was so airy. Wow! the feeling was like being in a hotel. Everything was well-served. So Awesome!
However, in front of me laid an old lady with a worried look. She seemed so stressed and depressed.
There were always commotions among patients when she tried to get out of bed. All she wanted was to go to the toilet to ease herself. But of course she was not to be out of bed. She was already on pampers.
Sensing her not able to relieve herself on pampers, on the night of 14 September at around 2 am in the morning, I decided to help her.
Through out the morning I cheered her up, encouraging her to relieve herself on the pampers. Didn't realise this process needed a lot of hardwork and initiative.
Finally after a few hours of encouragement, she managed to clear her bladder of all the water. There were so much and that was a great relieve for her.
By that time we were already in the early morning. I served her breakfast and doing my best to make her happy.
"I am so happy today. You are so special", that was her words.
To me, she is the special queen in my life.
After breakfast, I put her to sleep.
At around 11 am, I managed to get about 10 mins of sleep before my son called.
Then came lunch. Again I served my queen. Then managed to get the nurse to clean her up to make her comfortable. Usually this was done in the morning, but because she was asleep they didn't want to disturb her.
After being freshed, I help her to sleep. She looked so peaceful.
Around 9pm my queen woke up. I rushed to her because she had not had her dinner. Dinner was served usually around 5 - 6 pm. So it was already quite late.
She ate well. Around 9.30pm she's already back to her dreamland.
She slept through until breakfast the next morning. By this time the nurses could already handle her. She was no longer the stressed, depressed old lady but rather a happy queen.
"Oh Lord, thank you for this grand great gift."

Never do I seek for recognition. Neither do I wish to expose my act of kindness. But nature's inbuilt just seem to flow out of me.
