Here is a cheer for the underdogs
Stormy Stowaways who once were lost
Even a cat who thought he was a dog
Barks at cars
Fetching little frogs
From dogs dishes he ate always
Gets a mention because his name is D-O-G
Scarlett O Hairy with 4 pogo sticks for legs
So spirited Julie master did not get her trained
One day a dog named Cole appeared on the porch
Mouth parched, sun scorched
Shaved like a lion mane full of mange
Golden like the sun, brushed water and food
Now he bows at me like I'm a queen
I I didn't do anything
Cole the kind lion dog, you are the king
There once was a Healer named Blue
Trained to guide people who are deaf through
Unfortunately sold because he turned to nipping
Which the breed used to do for hearding cattle
He wasn't that type, but something had him tripping
It turns out what turned him, not just to tattle
Was a Mean neighbor kid tried to snare him with a bear trap
How could they treat such a sweet soul like that
We trained him as a hearing ear dog, but he had to go
To a farm where he couldnt get in trouble for kid biting
We miss him so
But cattle nipping to him is extremely exciting
Then there is a dog named Grim Gore, who had witnessed violence before
The kids surrounded him with hugs and that turns to exponential love
Some People are Mindless
And Above that,
Together We All Create Kindness

I could really feel the love and compassion from your post. If I feel hungry, fearful, angry, some times we need a pause and allow real love into our hearts. Thank you for your words and pictures. It really becomes more visual.

Raised 4 and miss them all, but enjoyed each ones uniqueness. Recently watch my daughters Boxer, Maggie ,who we thought at 3yo, was a holy terror, yet after she was here a few hrs was very mindful and enjoyed our walks the 5 days we watched her. I actually got to enjoy here sleeping by me as I worked.
