Not everyone gets the same version
You are beautifully unique! No one else is just like you. And not everyone gets the same version of you. Someone you just met is not going to get the same version of you as someone you've known for 20 years. But every person you meet influences who you are.
It takes time to build trust, to have faith, to feel comfortable enough to share inner secrets with our ask for help, and to trust they will guide you in the right direction.
That person who leads you down the wrong path lessens your inner flame.
That person who is there for you no matter what brightens your flame.
That person who tells you your dreams aren't reachable, that you're wasting your time because they are closed-minded lessen your flame.
That person who encourages you to see the positive and to keep moving forward even if you aren't moving at the pace you want will brighten your flame.
That person who constantly reminds you of your failures and weaknesses will lessen your flame.
That person who helps you see things you can't because of emotions will brighten your flame.
It's very important to surround yourself with people who brighten your flame or do everything they can to re-light it if it goes out.
I've been there. My light has gone out before. Several years ago I suffered from depression because of my ex-husband. I lost 25# in 6 weeks, I looked skeletal :(. I looked in the mirror and realized I can't live like this, so I made changes. We got divorced and I had to find myself. I had friends I never expected that helped support me through all of it. They told me what I needed to hear, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. They truly helped re-light the flame within me.
Now, years later, I'm surrounded by people who add to my flame, that support me mentally through all of life's hurdles. I give little attention to those who cause drama in my life.
If you surround yourself with negative people, you will inherently think negatively. If you surround yourself with positive, goal-oriented people, you will tend to think the same way.
I hope you do the same! This community at wealthy affiliate is amazing!! It adds to my flame daily! The support here is a very rare thing to find. It helps give me hope and the means to succeed on my journey.
Thank you to everyone who makes an effort to share positivity and hope here. It means more than you know to many.

I lost my flame too, several years ago when I decided I wasn't good enough (because of not seeing immediate success) to do what so many others were doing with online marketing. I gave up and resigned myself to the thought that I'm just not built for this. Unfortunately we frequently quite just shy of reaching our first success and it all goes unrealized.
However, someone (a sort of flame brightener) came along and reminded me of what my previous accomplishments have been and how I am just as capable as anyone to be successful. Now I press on doing something positive each day, taking it step by step and the journey has been so much more satisfying this time around.
Thank you for putting these thoughts into perspective. I believe this will help a lot of people keep moving toward their goals!

You never understand it until you've been through it. Once you have, you are better at identifying triggers for yourself and changes in those you care about. Hoping it'll inspire others to keep being flame starters and not those who push to put them out. :)

Being surrounded by negativity will only result in negativity, but if we surround ourselves by positivity... well you know the rest!
That's what is so great about the platform here, if we ever feel unmotivated or down, there will always be others willing to help build up our spirits again!
