I can remember a few years back, I was fortunate to be a student taking an online course with Andrew Ng (our teacher and presenter) on machine learning and AI—AI for everyone; we were actually asking and wondering when AGI (artificial general intelligence—the pinnacle of AI) was going to become a thing.
But lo and behold, it seems AGI is knocking at our doors faster than we can imagine! What we are seeing today is just and still narrow AI.
The rate of advancement in this field is mind-blowing, as it affects every facets of human endeavor (healthcare, transportation, banking, insurance, military, climate change, music, etc.)

The only question I keep asking myself is: Where is the border line?
As we know, this advancement comes with all these ''plus(es)''—efficiency, effectiveness, increase in productivity, etc. Nevertheless, the thin line between these advancements and our world/reality is blurring faster than we can imagine.
How do we as humans know the perfect timing to regulate these advancements (the concept of singularity and ethical considerations)?
How do we protect ourselves from these things (AGI) and those malicious actors seeking to use these advancements to further their own agenda (deliberately or otherwise) at the expense of humanity?
