Payback is a Pain, a Pain in the triceps.
Ok, this may look like just any ball, but trust me, its not. I found it interesting because it has my maiden name on it, but boy I was not tough, completely the opposite. Now I am sharing this with you because i fancied a quick chat, and to share a little analogy.
So at my Tues Tkd, we had practice our flying side kicks hmm.. now as part of my pattern I do this ( it may not be pretty but i do it), but on this occasion even with mats for love or money it was not happening, then our 6th degree master instructor introduced this ball, someone had to hold it while the others one at a time had to run up and kick the ball.Well yours truly here, was very quick to volunteer to hold the ball. Which i did, and my arms were jarred several times, but that was ok. right.
Roll on now to Thursday evening, and my my triceps and biceps are absolutely aching. So its like a double punishment for not doing the flying kicks.
It got me thinking though, my arms really are killing me, why? Because I would not do something outside my comfort zone. As I am here, trying to grow this and my other businesses, I realise that i must learn to get right outside the zone of comfort, if I want to improve and get a better traction. I Just could not help but notice the analogy.
I am not like that all the way through, but it was a stark reminder .. have a good evening, everyone.
