I have a few blogs on WA and I just created a new website and the WordPress post editing page looks very different. I don't have options at the bottom of the page like I used t
the options at the bottom are related to plugins.....
so what plugins did you used to have...
Oh boy. I didn't add or delete any plugins. To be honest, I've been away from my blogs for a long time. I looked to see if any need to be updated but they look fine.
the new seo plugin of choice here at wa is 'the seo framework' rather than all in one seo...
aioseo became very commercial after its takeover and started asking for money and reduced its features...along with another plugin to add the features back...
so wa moved away from that seo plugin to 'the seo framework'

This is my new webiste I just created yesterday. I went to edit my first article and it looks very different and I feel very lost
the old wordpress shows the classic editor screen or a classic block.....
it really is worth learning the block editor as it has a lot more functionality....you will feel lost at the start, but there is plenty of training by jay in the classes on using the block editor...
but add the classic editor plugin and then you can use the old screen....
It also says "dangerous" in the address bar and I don't know why google chrome thinks the site I just created is a threat.
get support to sort that - google now is marking sites as dangerous and needs to know that it can trust your site...
so open a sitesupport ticket ( goto help at the top and select sitesupport - fill in the details and ask them to sort it out...)

I'm in WordPress editing my article and changing the featured image settings. Somehow the section with the drop-down to choose from default or featured image is gone. So now wh
What you are describing sounds like what I think is a new version of Wordpress that I have on the website I just created yesterday and feel very lost on.
But the website I'm working on in regard to this question is on my old website and it still looks like the old Wordpress. I'll add a picture.
this is at the bottom of the editing page where I change the excerpt and social media details etc. I have already selected my featured image on the side panel. But there used to be a box in the center where I changed the "default" picture option to "featured image" on the drop down. But it's no longer there.
at the bottom of the post is the seo section
there is a social tab there where you get to choose the image you want displayed in social posts - along with the heading and text for different socials
once you set the featured image this is also filled in for the social image - or you can override it and select another one...
Hey Nicole,
When you are editing a post in your Website Back office, there is a right hand column that has two tabs at the top.
"Post" and "Block"
Select "Post" and that is where you'll find the featured image.
Also, make sure that you published as a "POST" and not a "PAGE". Some themes will not have featured images for pages.
Let me know if this helps, else we can dig into it a bit more to figure this out for you.
:)

Hello everyone,
**Edited to clarify that I don't want to have scheduled posts at all. I'm looking for a way to publish now and to delete the schedule now and for all fu
Thank you to everyone! I don't know why but after enabling updates for some of my plugins that had disabled updating, and then deleting themes I don't use... it published lol. I'm not sure if this has fixed the issue for next time but I will be checking back here for all your answers if it happens again
That's awesomeness :) Yeah! But it is always good to leave updates on Manual so that you know where it came from if there's an issue. But I am glad you were able to resolve the issue :)
Here is a screenshot of quick edit of my post in WordPress showing a drop-down with no option to publish now. The only options are "scheduled" "pending review" and "draft"
What about if you click Edit and go inside the post?
You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh, and try again. Try the URL in a different browser or mobile device.
You can also empty servers cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache
https://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache
Try Phil's @feigner suggestion.
Otherwise, you may reach out to site support.

Here is a screen shot of wordpress list of posts with it saying scheduled under the post title and then missed schedule in red under the date
Go into your dashboard and go to the post look to the right and there is a box that schedules your post it should say immediately if it does not click it to change it to immediately
