Website Indexed in Google and Synchronicity!

What a nice surprise and cool timing!

I was reading GiuliaB's post titled "Google Indexing Tool on Site Content - It Works!" when suddenly a notification pops on my screen:

"Your website has been indexed in Google... sweet!"

Nice synchronicity, eh?

Well, thanks and sweet indeed!

I've always been one of those people that get super motivated when there are milestones to reach and achievements to earn. I remember back in my university student years, when I was playing video games like Tomb Raider, or MMO games like World of Warcraft, my friends used to make fun of my obsession with collecting badges and unlocking secret achievements.

There's just something addicting to earning an achievement! The ones you set for yourself, like accomplishing a goal you set personally, or milestones set by others in studying or performing.

Why now?

I started this website as a SiteRubix sub domain, while studying the Affiliate Bootcamp course. I was thinking that I can continue with the training on the free website, and after some time, if I was still enthusiastic about the topic and the results, I would buy a domain name and transfer my free website.

I had also read some stories of other WA members that got their free SiteRubix website ranked fast and even started earning money with it.

Well, after some posts and 5 months of sporadically following the Bootcamp training, I was still not indexed in Google. Either I was going to abandon the site and focus on my main travel website, or I would buy a domain name and transfer the free Bootcamp website and keep working on that niche.

Two days ago I checked my stats for this site on Site Manager, and my posts on Site Content, and I noticed that my individual posts on the site had been indexed!

This made me think:

"Well, a domain name costs less than 15 dollars per year anyways. And in Wealthy Affiliate, it will always cost the same price to renew it year after year (not like some other hosting providers)."

Why wait? My desired domain name was available, and maybe by the time I decided to buy it and own it, someone else would have bought it already! It's a name that really resonated with me and the direction I wanted my site to go, so I didn't hesitate anymore.

I bought the domain name!

What helped me make the decision was the feedback I received from a WA member using the Site Feedback function here. He said that he couldn't spot anything I'd need to change, except for it being a sub domain. And suggested that I should transfer it to my own domain name.

I believe that buying my own domain and transferring the free website played a role in it being indexed by Google, finally!

Ok, badge earned, now what?

Now back to the training, keyword research, producing quality content and onward to the rankings and traffic!

It's a process, and it works! Trust the process, have patience, put in the hard work and the results will surely come. Maybe not as fast as we plan for (or hope for), but it's not a race!

Always remember, slow progress is still progress!

Get your website indexed in Search Engines and reach the World!

How long did it take you to get your WA website indexed? Did you ever have a sub domain (siterubix dot com) website ranked in Google? Comment below and let me know!

Well done Nicoleta! I like this the best... "slow progress is still progress!" :) ~Mark

Thank you, Mark! Yes, we should only compare ourselves to the position we were yesterday and measure progress by that, not by the speed of other people!
Have a great weekend :)

Congrat’s on your success Nicky. It is indeed a great feeling when your site gets indexed by a Google. It proves that the work you have put into it is paying of. I wish you continued success as you move forward with it.
Jerome

Thank you very much, Lisa. Have a great weekend!

Excellent, congratulations!

Thanks! Now onto the next steps, excited to continue with the process :)

Great news - some of my posts have not been indexed yet and I cant understand why? I follow the procedure of fetch as google and then index requested but nothing happens it's still waiting to be indexed.
Richard

Hi Richard, thanks for your comment. Maybe if you request more comments on those posts using the Site Comments feature here, they would get indexed faster? I haven't used "fetch as Google" yet by the way.
Is your website itself indexed by Google?

A surprise that doesn't come too late.... Enjoy it.

"Slow progress is still progress" : very good Nicky.

I received once another one like this :

"Bad ranking is still ranking".

It helps.... on the way from the bottom !

N with a smile

Onward and upward! Thanks for the encouragement :)

May fortune bring you quick ranking and traffic!

Thank you very much, Mike! Amen :)

You're in the flow and magic of the universe!

I like how this sounds, that's an awesome state to be in! Have been experiencing a few bumps on the road of my non-business related goals and this is a big encouragement, thanks Phoeby :)

No matter what happens, just keep picking yourself up and keep moving forward. Breakthroughs are just around the corner.

Exciting news..congratulations! I bought my own domain name and was indexed fairly quickly...within days. Really have no idea why...just followed the training.
Debbie

Thanks for the feedback, Debbie!

I noticed that my individual posts were indexed but my free siterubix site wasn't. It appears like buying my own domain name and transferring the site did the trick!
