Good day my fellow Wealthy Affiliate members. I hope you are all doing great today. I am enjoying my expereince here at WA as I continue to work on my website.

I am in the process of making a Landing Page for my website, which is called myunitedfootball.com. At first, I was pondering which plugin to use as there are many available. However, I decided to use one of the plugins to start my landing page.

I have installed and activated this plugin and setting up my Landing Page. However, I am now aware that I would need to have an Email Autoresponder provider. I was checking out some on Google- free and paid ones. I am made aware of various autoresponders that can be used for free, or at a very low price, some have a 30 day free trial, and then you have to pay.

I am not here to promote any autoresponder. But, I have heard that Aweber is very good and Getresponse is also good.

I found the list of these autoresponders on "learnhomebusiness.com." One of the advice I get from this is that I should use a paid AutoResponder because they are professional and work out better in the long run. I am not completely sure as to which autoresponder to use. But, I have opted to use MailChimp. I am almost finished setting up but I am a bit stuck on what I should write for my "Subscribing Message, Thank You Message and Error Messages" in the "TEXT SETTINGS" section or I should just leave it just as it is.

As I was researching plugins and landing pages, I stumbled upon an article that gives infromation about Double and Single Opt-in landing processes on quicksprout.com. In this article I have learned that Double Opt-in landing process is better than Singel Opt-in landing process because it converts better. In the comparison, Double Opt-in gives an open-rate of almost 30%, whereas, single opt-in gives just over 15%.

Since visiting this site, I am intrigued about how to learn to use a double opt-in landing process.

If anyone knows about how to use the Double Opt-in landing process and, to use MailChimp effectively, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks,

Nickoy

Reading the fine print is always helpful. I'm glad you caught it early so you can change plans now.

Tried and True

I do not know anything about MailChimp, but the one Kyle recommends in is training is Get Response.
Good luck to you.

Hey Nickoy!

Make sure you read the fine print when using MailChimp.I've read on here that they are not friendly to affiliate marketers.

If you are not including affiliate links and offers you should be fine.

I'd be interested in what others thought? I use Aweber (It's a paid service) and it works like a champ!

Thanks for letting me know. I just read their terms and they say in their prohibited content that they cannot allow businesses that offer affiliate marketing. My website will have some content that will have affiliate links to Amazon or United Direct. Plus, there will be Google Adsense ads
So, I guess that I will have to cancel my membership with MailChimp soon.

It's good that you caught it ahead of time. Good luck with your site!
