Facebook has a feature for retargeting people who visited a website and you need to install a Custom Audience PIxel (NOT THE SAME AS CONVERSION TRACKING PIXEL) for to be able t

I just wrote a blog post explaining how to setup retargeting for Adwords, Facebook & Twitter: https://ppcmode.com/retargeting/

I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this, but I'm trying to create a custom audience with Facebook and they rejected the file I uploaded. But didn't say why. Has anyone dealt with this before? I was under the impression that if you gave FB a list of names with corresponding FB URLS, they would send your ad directly out to these people?
Thanks

hi try to read his training hope it help you

I've not encountered this problem, but hopefully the link provided below will help you.

Haven't experienced this yet, so not quite sure. Hope that tip below helps.

I was just looking for this. I would think they would go into the place that you normally use for the conversion pixel. Of course if you are using conversion pixels also there might be a dispute.

Good questions!

I have multiple fan pages that I do direct ads to affiliate products. Other affiliate products have a place to add a custom audience pixel on their website.

No, it is not the same as conversion pixel. A Conversion pixel is triggered when people make a purchase.

Custom audience pixel keeps track of people who visit the site through clicks on your ad on facebook. You can use that custom audience in an ad to retarget them. this is huge in that you are targeting people interested and can word an ad to make them want to pull the trigger. Also huge cost saving in advertising. Conversion rate extremely high with remarketed audiences.

I did find a plugin that will take care of this until WA PTB add this feature. It is a very advanced feature and do not want to confuse any newbies. So only those doing FB ads already, can PM me for info I have found out.

I know about pixels and FB. I will PM you for the info. :)

Great info. Thanks!

I see where to paste this. It can be easy or difficult, based on your WordPress Theme. You need to paste it into the HTML. Which theme are you using, and would you be open to changing your theme? Also, if you paste it directly into the HTML a theme update will overwrite it. Send me a PM and I can try to help you.

Thanks for the info. I meant on WA site. Direct linking to WA w/ my facebook fan page boosted post ads. It is tracking the # of clicks I want to retarget those clicks via FB retargeting ads. Most affiliate programs have a place for you to do this because of this feature of Facebook ads.

I have the exact same question as I am doing my second ad on Facebook. I still don't have an answer regarding a direct link to WA. Have you figured it out yet? Is there one? Thanks.

I would love to find members in my area and other demographic searches like that. Would also love to search for Boomer women who are active on WA to network with and maybe

Fabulous idea would like to do this too, any ideas anyone

I wish I could do that as well, so to help each other along the way within our fields. For example, I was an educator/teacher/librarian before joining WA and there are many technological tools out there that are specifically for educators and it would be nice to share that knowledge with others in the same field.

If we had a way to search the occupation and/or work history of other members, we could help one another by pointing them to resources and software discounts that are available to certain people. This could include student discounts for all the college students out there.

Good idea NicheME, interested if you find the way forward.

anyone w/ helpful answer? thanks!

Greetings Lark!

Great idea, but you may run afoul of the rules if you try to cluster members by interest or background. It's part of Da Rules at The violation appears to fall under rule 10 or 11.

There was a member named Little Claire who wanted to gather together others at WA who were interested in fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogging. You can find some evidence of that effort at If you click through the link in Jewel's blog, you'll find that Little Claire's original blog soliciting other like minded members of WA has been deleted. I don't know all the details, but I read that her efforts to create that sub group got her banned here at WA by the powers that be.

Bummer :\

Dennis

Hey Dennis, Thanks for the info!

Wow amazing they do not allow you to "huddle" All communities software like this have ability to allow the people to break up into groups similar to facebook groups. It is just a matter of the PTB allowing it.

I would like to know why they do not allow this and why we cannot search members? What is the reasoning. Anyone who does not want to be in my Group does not have to join.

As far as spamming people. You do not go to them they come to your group that you have established. this is nothing unique. I know this for fact as I have managed and been a part of dozens of community like this in various business and organization. This is the 1st one I been to where you are not allowed to search member and Congregate into groups if you want.

Thanks for letting me know. I was getting ready to make a Blog post tittle "Calling all Women Boomers" LOL. I guess I will get banned if I do right?

Hi Lark -

As best I can tell, such efforts are not well received.

Don't take my advice though. Send Kyle a PM with an explanation (and perhaps a link back to this question), and in a day or two you'll know exactly how the "Women Boomers" group idea would fare.

There won't be a need to guess!

Let us know...

Dennis

That's a good question. I'd like to know the answer too.
