What do you do when you have a bittersweet situation?
Your mind is not at ease but at the same time, you have to ensure that your other kids do not feel neglected.
Yes, they will tell you that they understand, but do they?
Being a parent is the most challenging job in the world, especially if you're a single parent.
It takes time, effort and lots and lots of patience.
You have to be selfish too and put yourself lastly at times to ensure that all are happy.
I am just writing this to give myself an outlet because I am unable to think straight at the moment.
It is so hard just sitting and waiting for tests results. while also planning and celebrating the 2nd and 3rd birthdays and getting the kids back to school.
It is a time like this that I search for motivation when I find that I am unable to motivate myself.

I've been there. I was a single mother of 3 and it's NOT easy but it IS worth it. I know you're worried about your daughter and that is understandable. You're right though. The others will say they understand but they will still feel neglected and perhaps resentful. Do your best. I had a problem child but I realized that the other 2 deserved just as much attention. My kids are all older than you at this point with children of their own but, as a mother, you NEVER EVER stop worrrying. It's a lifetime job. At least when they're little, you know where they are and what they're doing and feel like you have some control.
I'm sure you are being a great mom. We're often harder on ourselves than anyone else would be. No one can ask you to do anything more than your best. Do keep us posted on your daughter though.

I became a single mom in 1991, when my daughter was six and my son not quite two. I lived what you are going through for most of my adult life. My daughter now nearly 36, my son 32. I still worry about them each and every day.
