I Experienced (forced) Enlightenment Today
Hello, hard-working people of WA community,
Something strange happened to me today! I think something wanted to remind me of the importance of parenthood besides working hard to support my family.
However, I've been working so hard for a month now and I have been spending my holiday days in front of my laptop, working almost 24/7, and still not started earning (but that's not the point now).
During my work, my son usually plays in front of our building. Two days ago he called me to come out and see him ride his bike. He was full of emotions because he learned it all by himself. Not happy about leaving my work, in the middle of something, I went down, spent some short time with him and bought him an ice cream as a reward.
Yesterday, he wanted us to ride our bikes together, but I refused with the excuse of having a lot to do. Today was the same. And my son was pretty discouraged and sad.
Today, in the afternoon, I was in the middle of writing my post, my son was dissatisfied, and my husband was quiet. My laptop connected to a charger had some issues with the internet. I was furious about the internet provider because that happens too often these days.
At once, the internet connection was restored, and I was happy to be near the end of my blog. All of a sudden, the laptop shut down!!! For Christ's Sake!!! What's going on?! No sign of life of my laptop! I tried this and that, but nothing made it come to life.
What was strange was that I wasn't mad, I was calm. They were all looking at me, perhaps expecting a curse but I just said:
"It's ok, let's go ride our bikes"
Of course, everyone was happy!!! We rode through the city and by the river, had adventures on our journey and visited some old friends and their doggies. Then we went on our kick box training and had more fun. All family members were overwhelmed with joy!
The strangest of all strange things that happened today was that the laptop normally worked when we came back! Even machines need to rest and Nevena has learned her lesson today!
Life lessons are far more important than any lesson from a book.
