How come nobody told me about this!?
How come nobody told me about Affiliate Marketing!!?? Before, joined WA I knew absolutely nothing about this concept...I mean nothing. You may be wondering why me not knowing about this marketing method is such a big deal. Well...it is because I have been a mid-senior level Sales and Marketing professional for over 15 years, where my job is to be aware of most of the current marketing avenues. So, imagine my shock when I discovered Affiliate Marketing. Have I been under a rock or something? When I found out about it, I actually even felt embarrassed that I had not known about it before. What kind of marketing professional am I?
I found out about Affiliate Marketing by the way of good ‘ole SEO. I have not been working for a couple of months. I decided to use this time wisely to review what would be the next phase in my personal and professional life. I decided that maybe I should be more adventurous and change professional industries. But as I contemplated further, a little voice in my head said, “do you really want to go back out in the workforce to deal with that corporate stressful environment...really?” “And, a boss that no matter what you do, you are still not working hard enough?” The answer was a big, fat, rolling my neck...NO!
I then went online to do some research on what I can do where I would be able to apply my creative development and marketing experience that I enjoy very much but, with limited stress, independence and generate income to cover the cost of living. And low and behold, typing in some keywords in Google search engine, an affiliate blog came up, with an inspirational post that expressed exactly what I was feeling at the time, with a link to WA. And, the rest as they say was history.
So here I am in this amazing community, learning so much every day and enjoying every minute of it.
