Yikes! 5 months at WA already!
My 5 months milestone at WA was a few days ago so thought I’d give a quick update on progress to date and plans ahead. When I joined WA 5 months ago I was still working full time for a big corporate company in London. Due to some major restructuring of the company at the end of last year I was offered a redundancy package to leave the company. I saw this as a positive thing! I had always planned to grow my online marketing business slowly and build it up to the point where I could leave my full time job and work on my online business full time from home. The redundancy has just pushed me into doing it earlier than I originally planned and allowed me to do this, at least for a while.
I have been working full time on my WA website since the beginning of February 2015 and I absolutely love it. The biggest change for me is no more long dreary commute to London, 3 hours a day (1.5 hours in each direction). This gives me back those hours each day and I have more energy because I am less tired and feel less stressed. I’m now working on something I love doing instead of working on something I only liked some of the time just to earn money. No cantankerous boss to answer to because I’m now my own boss. Yes it takes discipline to get up every day and get on with it, but why wouldn’t I do that when I’m enjoying what I’m doing. I am determined to make this work so that I can continue working for myself from home.
I am not at the point yet where I am earning any money from my internet marketing business but I am working diligently through the training and just about to start course 3 (making money), so I am hopeful I’ll get my first sale soon! My original money goals when I joined WA were to earn a few hundred dollars a month and progress to earning enough to make a full time income doing internet marketing. I just need to push myself harder to bring that “earning enough to make a full time income” forward.
Plans for the next 6 months:
-continue to build out lots more content on my http://toptipsforholidays.com site
-start making money from the site
-complete the online entrepreneur training (course 3, 4 and 5)
-build a second website and follow the same process
-start the Affilliate Bootcamp course and build a website for that
-Keep going no matter what!
For me the main message in all this is do something you love doing and have fun doing it!
