Google ranking in Jaaxy

I was beginning to wonder if any of my pages would ever show up in the Google rankings in Jaaxy. Previously each time I checked only one of my posts was showing up. I checked today and now I have quite a few pages and posts showing up in the top 200.

As you can see from the image below some of them still have quite a way to go to get onto page one but at least I'm starting to make some progress and 2 of my pages/posts are now on page 2. It may be that my site was stuck in the Google sandbox for a while but it looks like it could be emerging from that.

I think the overall niche that my website is in, which is travel, is very competitive, but the sub niche I am targeting (top tips for travel/holidays) is less so and I have found many low hanging fruit keywords in Jaaxy which I am able to target. What was worrying me was that I wasn’t showing up in the rankings for these low hanging fruit keywords, but it appears patience is the key here.

Recently I have added a large page of more than 4000 words and a post of nearly 1000 words. I also went back through all my existing pages and posts to make sure that they conformed to the 10 steps that Jay gave in his recent training to help with Google rankings - https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/10-steps-required-for-top-google-rankings

Clearly this has all helped.

Now I will just keep adding more content and hopefully this will all help, not only the new pages to rank but improve the rankings on my existing pages and posts. And also raise the rankings of my pages that are still not showing up in the Google rankings in Jaaxy.

If you find yourself in the same position with your pages and posts not ranking just hang in there and keep adding content and the rankings will come.

Hi Neil, I was wondering because I am working on about 2 months but, still not showing up ranking in Jaaxy or Google for that matter. Can you tell me in general how long you have had to wait to get a ranking? Thanks, SunnyJ

Hi Judy, Yes it does take some time and some patience is required as Google does things in it's own sweet time (slowly). You will find though that once you start to rank for 1 or 2 pages the others will follow. It took me a 2 to 3 months to start getting rankings with a few pages, then more followed as time went by.

For me it's seems to be 2 steps forward and 1 back. Newer pages are ranking but some of my older pages/posts that were ranking have now dropped down the ranks and are not now appearing in Jaaxy. The answer for those pages that have dropped down the ranks is probably to create a new related page and link it to the old page. Plus, as a lot of people here say you just need to keep posting and the more pages you have ranked the better Google ranks all your pages. My problem is not posting as often as I or Google would like.

Hope that helps?
Neil

You are welcome Donald

Great Post Nelson

Thanks Larry

This post should be read by everyone, regardless of experience. It's a very good and informative discussion. Thanks for this. As far as competition in the niche is concerned - they're ALL competitive.

Hi Werner,
Thanks for that. Regarding getting it out to everyone, if people use the top search box and search for 'Google ranking' it should appear in the results I suppose. The hardest part I find with rankings is time lag between publishing and having the patience to wait on Google to deliver the good ranking. But if I keep following the same steps over and over, as per the training, I can now see the some progress.
Thanks
Neil

Google spiders crawl in their own time and schedule.

Should be called Google tortoise maybe ;)
