What's Up with Pintrest?

Hi,

I'm writing this blog to see if anyone else is having the same issue as me. As I'm going through the courses this week, we get to the part of how to use Pinterest. Well I have noticed that not many of the WA links are being accepted. I also noticed that when I use a link that has been created through bitly (for my website) the link is being blocked also. I guess Pinterest feels that their site is just to pin photos and that's it. Any pictures that are linked to affiliate marketing, or links created through bitly is being banned.

I still enjoy going to Pinterest but I would like to know why they have banned some links, and say that they will lead to spam.

What is your experience? How are you handing this issue? When did this start?

Thanks... yes since posting this blog I've been reading the comments, and seeing other posts online that explain how Pinterest does not like affiliate links. So now I will take your advice and the advice of others to just share links that go back to my site. :)

You are welcome :)

I experienced this too. it only allows links to the posts in your website.First choose an image from your post and then add the link to the post.( write the description giving the title to your post and add the link down on website section. At the beginning I made this wrong and a friend warned me). Good luck

Thank you so much! :)

Pinterest hasn't allowed affiliate links for some time now.
Better to write articles on your site and then link to that.
