Year ago, in the days of college in the 80's, there was a catchy little tune by The Cure I used to love. Before the politics on TV gets going, I sat down with a guitar and Youtube and learned the chords and guitar melody fairly easily from Marty Schwartz with GuitarJamz.com
The point is, it was fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. I've been playing bass professionally forever, but somewhere the fun got sucked out of it. Over the years, It became a second job. Don't get wrong, I am grateful for it and the money came in handy, but it became work.
So tonight we play music for joy and relaxation.
It's been a long time.
