How To Google-Proof Your Business From Wonky Core Updates

When Google gets kinda wonky, the way I learned to Google-proof my business is to repurpose and distribute my articles in as many places as I could.

I have found it can work faster than throwing up PPC ads, and can be done for just slightly more effort than making a single blog post.

When I first started learning Content Marketing/SEO back in 2011, my mentor at the time taught me to upload variations of my articles to article directories, Web 2.0 sites, and document sharing sites.

Those exact web properties don't work that well today, but the concept is the same. Take advantage of the fact that some sites index and rank on Google faster and easier than your blog does. People come to those sites to search and find information instead of Google.

They get what I call in-house traffic.

My Google-Proof Publishing Workflow

This image is the workflow that I am currently recommending in 2024.

What Tools I Am Using?

The WA Hubs - AI Article Designer does a remarkable job at creating content in a flash that can be repurposed into video scripts and other articles. You have what you need right here at WA. But keep in mind that you can find a lot of other AI writing tools that the WA expert instructors are also using like Koalawriter, and Zimmwriter.

Depending on the style of video you want, you can use Screen-recording software like Screenpal. If you don't want to use your face and do voiceover yourself, a software like Pictory does a remarkable job combining top-notch voiceover from ElevenLabs and Stock video from Getty Images.

Fantastic stuff Nathan, appreciate the helpful hints and tips here my friend! :-)

You are welcome! I recently screenshotted my affiliate link traffic on a new site I started. As you can see there is a substantial difference from following this process. The red line is my affiliate link traffic before repurposing, and the blue is with repurposing and distributing with the image above.

That is a significant difference Nathan!

Great going my friend!

Great recommendations, Nathan! 👍😎

Great advice! I'm currently looking into repurposing articles for YouTube to do the same. Do you have any recommendations or advice on how to repurpose content for videos?

There are a few things I can recommend, along with several small things that when done consistently in every video make a big difference. You don't need to make a video to go viral, you just need to hone-in on a format that converts visitors into subscribers, leads, and customers. I suggest creating a call-to-action after your introduction tailored to the video platform you are publishing too. Remove your H2s and H3s and transition your sections like you are speaking naturally. Use emojis to draw attention to increase the CTR. Hope this helps.
