Hello Everyone! My name Is Narda and I am 54 years young. I live in Ontario, very near Toronto and am excited to get started and brainstorm with some positive, enthusiastic and caring people out there. I have 2 sons, 26 and 31 and a 23 year old daughter. My interests and education are in food and finance. I am also a DOS chick from the early 1980's - loved Assembler, Fortran and Cobol. Trying to learn Java from my son. Painstakingly took one engineering credit at a time at night every semester for many years. I had to work so full time school was not happening. Now that I'm an empty nester I might just go for a PEng, well, at least the iron ring. My son is beating me to it. He still resides in the bubble along with his sister. The oldest couldn't get out of school fast enough. At 17, with his high school diploma in hand, he hit the closest factory and that was it. He's my hilarious gym rat.
Funny, I missed a midterm exam when in labour with my second son, calling my prof between contractions and telling him if I could give birth in the next couple of hours, a nurse would accompany me to the lecture hall so I could write it. He almost had a heart attack and said he would leave my mark where it was and exempt me. I was so pumped to write it, too! ... crazy lady that I am...
Cooking is my passion especially in the ketosis style as well as helping women 50 and up with beauty and fitness. I taught swimming, figure and power skating and now secretly would love to be a stand up comedian but it would embarass my family too much.
I look forward to us all working together to build friendships and successful businesses. Success IS a state of mind. Oh, be sure to laugh at yourself!
Update: My son just had the ring ceremony this summer.

So awesome Narda, I know from experience that goals are what lead us to success. Work relentlessly in pursuit of these goals and they CAN and WILL happen.

In fact, wipe failure out of your mind right now. It simply won't happen. You have too much help, support and an entire community of help behind you to ever let that happen :)

If you need anything going forward, just let me known and I will be happy to give you a hand.

HAHA! GREAT PROFILE! Well I'm over 50 also and would love to read your stuff. I don't really "believe" in age, but having said that, I do have to deal with it... like Kid Rock says... and "come real with it". I'm interested in "ketosis style". You mean low carb, or? I lived on low carb for a lot of years but can't seem to do it and keep my brain cells holding hands anymore. -Alexx

Age is a state of mind...53 is young to me. My kids are 30, 25 and 22 and have mixed feelings about if am young or old. Young usually wins out. I try to work with people half my age as I learn more about the tech world, feed off their energy and ultimately feel younger. They don't get cranky and their worst problem is having a cell phone bill. You get treated respectfully, and, if you are halfway approachable you get invited to their events, (I never go as my son is friends with some of them plus I wouldn't want to cramp his trolling style lol...) They even ask for advice - work and personal. An example of teaching is learning. I recently left my position and it was not filled. I think the owner hopes I'll return but I wanted to give this my all. I love the social aspect and the peaceful sanctuary of home (most of the time, right now I am trying to drown out my daughter fighting with her boyfriend...I wish they would do it elsewhere). oops I'm Ranting again...still have not done any work except listen to the BING webinar. I got confused.
Talk soon.
Ketosis - If you honestly eat no more than 20g carbs per day, you are the keto state meaning your body is burning fat for fuel. That is optimal. As long as calories are not insanely high

The kids will think 53 is young when they're 49... haha My bio mom was ageless, and I'd like to think I can accomplish that someday. Yes I've hung with younger people also, or VERY young spirits. I totally hear you! Yes I love working at home also. You will likely never go back. The biggest challenge is playing a self-discipline game and making it fun. People seem to either get that, or not... it's easy to get distracted at home, then work can be frustrating because you'll feel yourself accomplishing too little. I like the game myself, and having the time savings of not driving to the office, not spending money on clothes I won't otherwise wear. If you find a way to have quiet and solitude you will probably like it much more. I've tried to work with others home and find it is really tough.

Ok, yes, I did that low LOW carb deal for a lot of years. Still to this day if I do multiple meals like that it keeps my weight down better, but I find myself needing at least 1 carb meal to push my energy through for the next day's workout. That's a recent occurance though. When I was younger I just toughed it out with caffeine or ephedrine (ick). -Alexx

Hi Jacona and a big welcome to you. I appreciate the follow. I have been here for 3 weeks and am learning new things everyday that I didn't know before. The secret to success here at WA I believe is to be open and teachable to those who have gone before you. There are plenty of people here who are successful in their own right as they kept moving forward even during those times when they didn't feel like it. Life is about change for the most part, nothing stays the same we are either moving forward into new territory or we're regressing back where we've already been. People that come here want more out of life and WA is a great proving ground for those who are serious about their life and dream to be a true Internet Marketer. I wish you the best!!

I love the way this program is fair all around and your particular approach to it. When you work for yourself you get paid fairly. The guy working on a factory line that cares about his job and goes the extra mile gets no more or less money than the person down the line who does the absolute bare minimum. Those who give of themselves first will be rewarded the most in a program like this. The rest will fizzle out.
Talk real soon, Joe
