Which one of these gets more results? Should a person spend more time thinking and preparing to do something, or spend more time doing the actual task. I'm sure that both sides

Peter Marshall said, "Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned." I too am a believer in planning..."an ounce of planning is worth a pound of cure" but the difference between millionaires and those who want to be is in the boldness of the actions they took on their vision. The great thing about WA is the way the courses are designed to learn, think and apply.

From my experience, I would spend time discovering my purpose and then take a little time to research the niche that fit my purpose making sure that it is profitable and easy to draw traffic to. Next I would take massive action every day until I hit my first milestone goal.

Nice article. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. ~Rebecca

Hi,

I loved reading this. It always strikes a chord with me, when somebody is stuck on the fence... particularly when they have the resources that WORK, and do nothing with it.

I'm a thinker, like yourself. I love to delve into the meat and potatoes, nuts and bolts, sub-atomic neutrino core (well, not THAT last one...lol) of "WHAT? WHY? HOW?"

"What" is almost always the easiest question to answer. Most people are good at coming up with ideas. Everyone "dreams", at some level. But few ever get past that stage.

"How" is trickier, and there's more than one way to skin a cut; there's also more than one way to chop of your thumb doing it, as well...

But it's here, that the magic begins! It is here, that your brain starts getting into overdrive, thinking and molding your thoughts, visions, and ideas into a coherent flowchart of logic and sequential passages to achieve it.

It is HERE that you dig in deep, and pull out the best you have inside in resourcefulness and inventive. It's the genius moment, that we ALL experience, at some point or another.

Yet, even HERE at this stage, people stay on the fence, and do nothing with it the energy, euphoria, resources, knowledge, and clarity of vision.

And there's a reason for that. It's that thing that makes other people spring to life at 5am, where others pull up the duvet, and roll over. It's that fire that pushes someone to make a change, because they know deep inside they CAN do more, and are only cheating themselves by staying in mediocrity. It's that determination that we don't like easy, because we love the rewards that come with DOING it. It's the discipline that makes you get up after failure and failure and failure, after a million doors slammed in your face. It's the deep-rooted belief that you CAN do this, and there's only excuses as to why you DON'T.

It's called your "WHY?"

And so many people never take the moment of exploring the core reasons for doing what they do. Do ANYTHING for the wrong reasons, and all the resources and vision in the world won't make one bit of difference: you will fail by giving up, or sabotaging your OWN self in the end, because it doesn't resonate with your true beliefs.

Having said all that, nothing happens without action. All the knowledge you have won't mean a thing, if you don't apply it, and do something with it. ACTION is, in some ways, more important than the knowledge itself; you can LEARN by doing. I've gotten into things I had no clue about, and yet... by virtue of doing, failing, learning, and gradually becoming more proficient at it, I became successful in them.

There comes a point where you have to stop thinking, quit conjecturing and questioning, stop getting the "paralysis by analysis" syndrome... and just start DOING.

That's when the magic happens. :)

I myself over think things too much which can lead to procrastination. Time to take more action!

Happy to hear you are calling yourself out! It shows great strength.

More Thought, or More Action?
