Writing posts is fun, but hard work for me right now

Since Google has pseudo banned me (I am seeing 2-3 clicks a day on Bing so I really am not sure it's me right now), I am still publishing but cut back to one a week. It has let me create a workflow:

1) Write the post
2) Write at least one accompanying post on Medium that links back to the post
3) Create 5-10 pins on Pinterest that try to engage people to read the post
4) Create 5 posts on my Facebook page pointing to either the original or medium post
5) Create 5-10 posts on LinkedIn pointing back to the original post
6) Create at least one long-form YouTube video pointing back to the post
7) Embed at least one of the videos in the original post

This is a slow haul. But I am starting to see engagement on social media, especially YouTube. I think developing this skill set is critical to get good at this, especially given the weakness of the dependency on the Google gods to pay the bills.

Good morning Mike,

It looks like you have a plan moving forward, Mike. I still believe that the most important job we can do is to add content to our own website. Although, I do believe it's good to experiment and see what works best.

I must admit I know that a lot of people are using Medium, but I do have my doubts about it. For example, could the time that you are writing on someone else's website (Medium) be used for writing on your own website?

I also have huge doubts about Facebook page posts; I am not a fan of Facebook. When Facebook pages first came out, they were quite powerful, but this changed when Facebook announced that they wouldn't be showing business page posts very much. They were trying to promote their paid advertising.

Anyway, just a few thoughts and sometimes we have to experiment.

Have a great weekend.

Roy

Hey Mike, that's great. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Jenell. The challenge here at WA is to figure out what "the good work" is. As I posted previously, sometimes when you work your fingers to the bone, all you get is bony fingers.

Very well done, Mike! Keep your eye on the prize!

Wow, Michael!

That’s quite a time investment, but it should work out exceptionally well for you in the long run!

Now, that’s the way to build a brand! 😃

That's really a lot of work! But it seems we don't have any other choice!
